Sunday:
SFVAE (main event, on ESPN again)
Smash 4 (Smash game, also on TV again)
DBZ (main tag fighter)
GG Xrd 2rd (anime, early to appeal to the Asia watchers)
Fan voted game, probs ARMS/Pokken

Saturday:
Melee (main event, Melee fans have themselves a good spergfest over the disrespect)

Infinite might get moved up to early Saturday but I will laugh heartily if Capcom strongarms EVO into making Infinite a Sunday finals. I don't know if that BlazBlue tag fighter will be ready for EVO and/or it's DLC scheme keeps EVO from adopting it until everyone's out.

Blazblue tag is scheduled to release on May 31 and June 1 has been the game/patch cutoff in past years. Evo being in August this year does give BB tag more of a chance of making it.

Wizard has been saying that this year will have 7 games and who knows if they'll stick to that but my guess for the lineup is SFV, Smash 4, DBFZ, Tekken, Injustice, GG, and a donation drive for the last game

KOF14 got 375 entrants at Evo last year and 557 at Evo Japan this year. If they keep Evo Japan going, I expect to see KOF back there next year.

People are still playing on Dreamcast and there are even modded Dreamcasts now with HDMI output, which is what Arturo used for Battle of the Strongest in December.

Going by pre-pandemic levels of play, I'm not sure Marlinpie makes top 8. I don't even think he's the best player of his own team in the field (assuming Full Schedule is still playing Viper/Doom/Ammy). Marlin has been streaming UMvC3/EX a lot though.

RyanLV won the last time the game was at Evo, Flocker won it in the past, a bunch of others who made Evo top 8, other strong east coast players like Flux and Coach Steve, and more. Should be a lot of fun to watch

I suppose it's probably the difference between 18 vs 25 frames to finish the DP input (or in the bottom pictures case, a rough interpretation of a DP input...)

The real question I guess here is 'how do I diagnose this?' There are so many problems I have with linking poo poo and while there is robust information given to you about input and frame data, there is absolutely no information given to you about it's rules - what the goals are. For example, linking Crouching Medium Punch with Standing Light Kick -- I can't do it. I have no idea if I'm pressing the buttons to fast? Too Slow? What is the window I'm trying to actually hit here? I know more about the rules around Flash Knuckle then I do the normals.
