Merging more 6* medals into that one gives you another random boost guaranteed to not be lower than what you already have. Kind of misleading with it can roll lower but you keep the current one if it rolls low. If you are 1% off you are not a 50/50 for maxing it you are still at whatever the normal odds are (there may be some behind the scenes weighing that isn't public).

In high level keyblades you get bonuses for normal and reverse medals the same as you do for power magic and speed. It's another thing you need to match to get the most damage.

I started at the tail end of that event maybe 3-4 days left and got to 200 off it. I'm at 205 now. Seems like it wouldn't have been hard to max level with the full event time.
