Super Best Friendcast is the podcast for the Super Best Friends let's play group AKA TheSw1tcher on Youtube or Two Best Friends Play for their machinima origins. They talk about general game news and also pretty much whatever they feel like, usually professional wrestling, anime, and literally anything involving Street Fighter. Listen in to this group of idiots as they spend 3 hours discussing "Dragonball Z fanfiction", record from a construction site, and name their podcasts poo poo like "Aryan Resurrection" and "Slave Syrup".
Cast: Matt "The CEO, The Boss, The J-cup Lover", Patrick "FuckBoivin", Woolie "The Liar", Liam "The Devil's Advocate"
Yeah that works

Maybe liam should be the devil's advokawaiite. Also, it's fuccboivin, get it right!

And they have the best titles, they're so good that they get them disqualified from podcast award shows because the shows don't want to read them out loud :v:

PJ is the best speedrunner out there. Every speedrun he does both is hilarious because PJ is great at keeping people engaged no matter the game(him and Mecharichter managed to keep my attention for the entirety of their Battleblock Theater speedrun during a GDQ which is no small feat because that game is a bore), and he also happens to have the worst luck imaginable(without games straight up breaking) such as his Super Ghouls 'N' Ghosts speedrun during SGDQ 2014 wherein he restricts himself to whatever weapon happens to drop, he MUST pick it up unless it would kill him to get to it. I think he plays like half the game with the crossbow because the game absolutely refuses to let him keep any other weapon for more than a few screens worth.

Start about 2 minutes in as he explains stuff.

Austin Walker is leaving Giant Bomb, and thus the Giant Beastcast, which is basically the worst, but because he's been hired by Vice to be the editor-in-chief of their brand-new gaming section in Brooklyn, so maybe he'll have a podcast of his very own! Oh man those reactions were everything I could have hoped for. :allears:

I wish I could go into more depth about what he's done but any more and it'd be too easy to actually find out who he is, and I'd rather not do that to him. Also, while he did fence for account hijackers, his justification was that nobody lost anything (since valve replaced any stolen items), and the person he ganked 10k from was doing some shadier poo poo on the side. But yeah, the whole story is a hell of a ride, glad I was able to get back in touch with him and finish the tale.

And I've got to dig out my dota shirt boxes but that care package will be heading to idle thumbs relatively soon, probably somewhere in the next few weeks.

Insanely huge company? They make a lot of money, but they're about 300-350 employees. That's super small for a company of valve's stature.

I'm pretty sure some individual ubisoft games have been made by more people than the entirety of valve :v:

Yeah, forcing themselves to talk about games led to the dark ages during the development of firewatch where they weren't able to play many games but still tried to talk about stuff they hadn't played and it was pretty bad. Casually watching Nick Breckon stream all the Dark Souls games on the Idle Thumbs Twitch is a fascinating look into how playing Dark Souls 3 first completely messes with your ability to play all the other games by teaching you all the wrong habits to be effective in Dark Souls 1, 2, and Demons.

counterpoint, I've watched woolie on the super best friends go through perhaps the most rear end-backwards way of playing the games, doing dark souls 2, demon's, ds3, and now currently ds1, and it's fascinating that he's figured out a lot of the tricks and tactics of ds1 just by prior knowledge. Like, check his fight against the capra demon. Keep in mind he knows almost literally nothing of the game besides hearing some of the more infamous names
