My current regular weekly gaming news podcast listening list: Beastcast, Waypoint Radio, Thumbs, Crate + Cowbar, Bombcast, Idle Weekend. I also do WoFF, Abject Suffering and Check it out Comrade but those aren't weekly news stuff so not really in the same discussion. I may drop Idle Weekend at some point -- Danielle is great but now that she's on Waypoint Radio I can get her there without Rob Zacny who is okay but I don't like as much. Waypoint Radio is very strong. Austin + Danielle's reaction to the proposed Switch voice chat 'service' was amazing. I am very pro-Pip.

Waypoint is extremely good these days (and if you like the chemistry / energy their spinoff More Civilized Age is excellent.) The only real problem I have is that most digressions are great but I can't give a rootin toot about football. I also recommend Watch Out for Fireballs, but that's more a game club than a weekly news sorta thing.

The football digression this week was particularly bad (as a non football-carer); normally it doesn't go on that long. They siloed off even more after the end, even. There was also some baseball stuff this ep but it was at least in discussion of the MLB game. Their long talk in the questions part about the games writing industry chewing up and spitting people out hit extremely differently when I listened right after the GB news.

Ren's going to be winding her time down as she transitions to dev work and a cool sounding gig, and plenty of details are still up in the air about long term stuff but for now the adventure continues which I'm glad of.
