My Saboteur quickly dropped the legendary nine slot SMG in favour of a Xenorifle purple that shoots boomerangs, even without the boomerangs the (effective on-field) DPS would have gone through the roof. Getting longer range primaries for a choice also helps the Tank I'm leveling up by a lot because its default class weapon has a punch-long range, after which nothing happens. Feels like the tank gets a pair of SMG/Xeno when equipping those, shooting at horrid RPM but quite kickass. I just gotta do another 16-17 missions on that one to hit World2 where the fun begins.

I wish they would expand the skill trees out some. I was looking at the Saboteur and I just couldn't see using anything other than the air strike and maybe a couple points into stealth to hide/run away.

Use the stealth to run into enemies while bombarding them. The air strike has a passive that recharges the rush gauge to the point where you can spam it.

so when this first came out i only played it for a couple days and then got sidetracked with other poo poo but now im actually playing it and its really good. got my bio to lvl 16 last night with just a few missions left to go in the first world or whatever you want to call it. veteran kind of became really easy once i picked up some orange weapons but im guessing ng+ will up the challenge. the new league thing is kind of funny. it seems to just randomly throw you in with 9 other people and you can use existing characters so some dudes just instantly had like 100m xp while im gaining like 1m a mission. maybe next week i will do better

i got into world level 2 and it is definitely much harder. they not only increase base enemy level (so veteran suddenly became +7 levels!) but also mix up and add spawns. also my orange smg is past its prime and i am using a purple xenorifle which is not nearly as good. i did find a new orange powershot though. it is giving me like 54k of my 86k total gear score lol.

30/104, saw a highly slotted legendary drop my way, thought this would finally be it, the time had come. 11 slots e: HAH! One match later, 12 slot proper on hitting enemy = GRENADE minigun! 1 142 768.4 DPS. Anything with HP MELTS. LOVE IT. I recorded and uploaded this clip to show what it looks like endgame, played two rounds of Madness difficulty (quite sure it was Madness) and this is one show. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDBxTK7T2lI The matches I played got me thinking about hints, tips, how to play when the going gets rough etc. At leeast equipment-wise I want to say: Do not bother that hard with rerolling stats until you get a legendary or you hit 30, that's obvious. Primary - Chance on attack weapons benefit from critchance, my Xenorifle is at 36% or 38% which means a lot of boomerangs and a lot of damage going out - SMGs are the best for solo players being able to tap and double-tap, less so when you add players - Energy Guns have horrid range but incredible damage, consider your playstyle, latency and chance on attack abilities Secondary - Powershot railguns really get into play later when you get a decent amount of slots on them and cores to put in, mine are always specced for large-clip rapid fire action - Shotguns I consider essential early, can kick serious rear end later in the game but I prefer the range and strength of the powershot - Revolvers Heavy - Rocket launchers like powershots are best made fat-clip rapidfire and combined with vortex grenades or chokepoints, you do not take splash damage, still a risky heavy to use for close range panic - Flamers are more like a DoT than something immediately effective, had many deaths toting one around - Miniguns at their best have melt their targets, like high shotguns do. Fill with yellow cores at any level and enjoy. Bullets can be blocked by teammates bodies. Grenades - Vortex Grenades (DLC) are pay2savelives, weak because they count on you to run away or dump into the enemies caught in it but they make so many situations survivable - Mines work better than nothing, maybe a PvP option or if you solo and need to kite things or protect your routes? Boomerangs are kinda eh. - Cluster Grenades are what I was all about before the Vortex grenades came, the clusters stack damage. Remote Grenades hit hard and have their use. The revolver's only niche is that it can stop enemies in their tracks like the brute for example. I found them decent with huge rear end clip sizes.

I was doing pretty well leaning hard on my lvl 30 xenorifle with knockdown on hitting an enemy but I just got maxed out powershot that flings boomerangs all over the screen on enemy hit and it's the silliest goddam thing ever. Amazing

A sloppy 15 minute expert run will net you almost a hundred million. Master doubles that. I have 291M right now just dicking around in the last hour and a half since the league reset and I'm only in Silver.

Saboteur 30/137 with boosts from spec, 11801 max HP Tank 30/7 with boosts from spec, 3 553 max HP Sweet jesus. e: Bio-specialist 30/1 3 172 max HP e: One mistake I see many players do? Give up. They don't learn to conquer difficult situations. They don't learn teamwork and coordination. They don't learn techniques and strategies. They don't get good. Seen lv30/100+ players despite the amount of health had at those levels chain-die like they were lv<30 accidentally in 30/100+ hosted games on Master. Seen plenty of players higher than me cogwheel and quit after running off and dying. Bite the pillow and stick with it unless you need to urgently leave. High multipliers and such? I like to save three nearby respawn stations and a blue flower for after the level has been cleared, then I take all three, bring the helicopter and open the crate. Feels sometimes like it helps with loot and not just experience earnings.

i hadnt really used vortex grenades at all because i kept getting crappy green ones when i had an orange remote grenade or something but holy poo poo it is awesome. 5 sockets is the most you can get on equipment right? i did mine with all duration and radius cores. too bad it has speed boost rather than fast recharge but its still amazing. e: also vortex grenades can cause some pretty severe slowdown in certain spots. i dropped to what must have been 10fps last night after using it near one of the bug nest areas in barrow Awesome! fucked around with this message at 21:40 on Jul 13, 2016 |

I tooled around to get the "all slots with lv30 gear and maxlevel cores" trophy because I could, and after the trophy popped I ended up five maxed cores poorer. Latest save in the cloud is from June 22nd?! Fuuuck

I think it was (the whole season pass shebang is). With a xenorifle I've survived situations that have always gotten me killed with the SMG's slow pacing up to SMG RPM.
