I drink Pabst as my cheap beer because it tastes like the mildest wheat shake imaginable and because of the Blue Velvet clip I posted in the OP Frank is a good man The hipsters in NYC mostly drink Tecate now I think

James Woods posted:I used to work at a Steeler's bar in SF that was owned by some guys from Pittsburgh. Since Yuenling isn't sold in CA they had a guy from back home who would drive a pickup truck full of the stuff cross country to us bootlegger style. We couldn't display it or put it on the menu and it was served by request only to people from PGH. We charged $7 a bottle and it was strictly inventoried unlike the entire bottle of Jameson the staff drank on average each day. lol

Professor Shark posted:Also good beer can be had for cheap if you drink the local microbrew, around here Propeller is the most popular micro and their beer is usually ~$1.50 cheaper than anything other than Coors or Bud: We have at least 10 breweries in this podunk town and even at the brewery their beers cost premium beer prices, which is around 4x what you pay for a can of Pabst at the bars that sell that. I've never seen a micro priced like you're talking about so be thankful they do things like that.

A lot of people are but you might have noticed that a lot of other ridiculously regionally specific beers also aren't on the list.
