Yeah they do some VR stuff or something. They got Neptunia RPG early and I've just followed their content since then. There were some streams that looked like VR chat or something similar where they were chatting.

They've got a spinoff called VVVTune that has a trailer and preview images, then a game called e-Ninja Neptunia. That OVA releasing on Christmas gives Neptune a That is Cool form which really kinda seems like they already have something in mind for the 10th anniversary that will be right as the new consoles come out. I have a feeling the main delay for a mainline game now is just waiting to see what color scheme the PS5 goes with. Like they could probably make 90% of the story on the assumption Xbox and PS5 were going to be more powerful boxes but would still have to wait and see what they look like. E: Just thinking about it now, but they've been putting a lot into the Japanese only mobile game Megamiracle force: The player character and Croire influence the PS3 HDN Neptune in some way. Conquest Ending Nepgear learns that the other goddesses are inside the sword and just couldn't find the right moment to talk with her after believing she had killed them. I know their western branch has skipped on physical releases for a couple of their games and just opted to do some as digital only with Limited Run physical versions. I don't know if this is a sign of trouble or them just realizing that the 10fps crappy action game they're about to release doesn't warrant a boxed copy and dub.

Neptunia has the weirdest merchandising history of any series like it that I know. I would love to fill my home with dumb Nep merch, but it ranges from acrylics keychains that cost too much to figures that cost WAY too much with absolutely no in-between. The LEs are some of the only ways to get reasonably priced Neptunia goods, but even then it's just not enough. Like, seriously, give me more silly things like this Nepgear cell phone stand that barely holds your phone if it happens to have a case or is bigger than an iPhone 6 that I paid $50 for in the aftermarket because I didn't even know it existed until I stumbled on it in a shop. Give me a Neptune nesoberi. Give me mid-grade figures of outfits from Producing Perfection. GIVE ME IF AND COMPA GOODS.

Not to mention it's looking like the Neptunia Rebirth cast had so many replacements that they can't even make a quick buck reselling ports on PS4/Switch.

There's at least two games known to be in development: VVVTune (this game) and e-Ninja Neptunia (title only) We didn't get Megamiracle Force in the west and they've been revisiting the PS3 game universes during events.

There's a bit of an issue where they setup the mk2 universe to follow the real world console cycles and they avoided killing Neptune and crew by having them gain a power level (Next form) which apparently will be referenced in the VVVTune preorder DLC. The Rebirth 1 universe set up the console makers as the game companies and I feel like they would rather deal with that kind of situation than address handhelds being dead at this point.

As a quick reminder, there will be Compile Heart/Neptunia news by this Friday. The title should leak before the final Dengeki Playstation magazine releases in Japan on Saturday. Neptunia VII for Switch is actually a port of the PC version done by Ghostlight. There are options to turn off shadows and graphics in the menu.
