I remembered hearing about this show a couple years ago. They pitched it as "Archie meets David Lynch" and they want to do an Afterlife with Archie episode every Halloween. They've been working on getting this show made for at least a couple, so they have some clear passion for the project, and the idea of Twin Peaks: Archie Edition is enough for me to wanna take a look into what comes out of it. Kinda feel bad that Containment didn't get picked up for a second season. They really pushed that miniseries hard and the commercials for it really did seem interesting, but I guess I'm part of the problem since I never bothered to follow up and watch it. Was it any good?

The main character reminds me a lot of Dave Chappelle though, same way Nick reminds me of Johnny Depp in Fear the Walking Dead, and on both shows it kinda takes me out of it.

Hey, Frequency was one of my favorite movies in my early teen years. Neat! I've heard good things about those recent Archie comics, so maybe that Archie show isn't doomed.

Frequency looks crazy weird. Its the sort of show I stash on my DVR until I see if people are ripping it to shreds or ranting about how awesome it is. No Tomorrow looks like the sort of show I never ever admit watching to anyone in my life but secretly I find positively delightful.

But he's also the love interest who's "there's no tomorrow" philosophy is very enticing to the lead who is depressed from her stagnant life.

I'm definitely curious about Riverdale, in large part owing to the hotness of the male cast, but it seems less like a contemporized take on Archie characters (in the vein of recent comics) than it does a standard sex-filled teen soap that's using the names of Archie characters primarily for shock value. Eh.
