beggar posted:Ethan Page looks like he has worked commissioned sales before and i really enjoyed the one match i have watched of his but i was very drunk so ymmv I was at a meet and greet once where Davey Richards and Ethan Page were forced to ride with fans on a bus to an AAW show. Davey brooded in the front alone while Ethan Page was sitting in the back, yucking it up with all the fans and generally being wonderful. Edit: I was at the PWG show tonight. That was a great match and moment.

AAW was always a good show when I lived in Chicago. I miss it. The booze line was always short and tickets are cheap, unlike PWG.

Phenix Rising posted:That's insane. Ellering should have been booked to win anyway but it's nuts that they went out there so unsure of what to do. Really weird feeling in the room the entire time because I don't think there was a single move that wasn't a botch, then lots of standing around talking. It was a goof!

Yeah if it was a cool tough guy like Keith Lee no selling that spot it'd be one thing. But instead it was whiny baby man Lio Rush, which makes him look more like a try hard than he already comes off as.

Is that a thing at AWF? Don't think anyone would protest police brutality at an AWF show but what do I know?

At first I thought it was a misogynistic joke, but looking at Gabe it's probably something he's done before.

tnimark posted:Thanks for the info. I have the WWE Network, NJPW World and Melbourne City Wrestling (my local) at the moment so I think I'll go with Progress. How is MCW? I just moved here in October and wanted to try and check it out. Is it in the city or some other suburb? And when should one purchase a ticket to a show?

tnimark posted:It's great. A lot of really good wrestlers working there at the moment. Adam Brooks and Jonah Rock both hold MCW belts and recently worked PWG. The two venues they run most often are the Thornbury Theatre and a smaller place in Essendon. I'm going to their end of year show on December 16th in Thornbury. I think for most shows you can safely get a ticket up til the day of the show if they don't have a big international appearing, but it's getting more popular all the time so that might change soon. Awesome! I'm gonna try to grab a ticket for that show.

Pre-sale tickets for Melbourne City Wrestling aren't available anymore. So, what time should I show up to get a ticket at the door? I have a General Assembly class downtown until 4 p.m.

Charles Gnarwin posted:They should have run somewhere in the city (UIC Pavilion?) so that it's easier to get to for all the PWT dorks flying in for the show. Hoffman Estates doesn't have the infrastructure to handle that many wrestling fans. Sears Center is probably loads cheaper than the UIC since it's in Hoffman Estates and not Chicago. I have to go to a wedding in River Forest on August 18th so may stick around for this show.

They'll sell out All In easily. They've had so much time to hype the show and Cody is a good draw. Plus, everyone wants this to succeed, so wrestlers will make themselves available to put on an awesome show and fans will travel and buy tickets to said awesome show. Cody has built up a ton of good will since leaving WWE.
