Less Fat Luke posted:Sliger did some testing with the 3080 FE in their cases: This makes me angry at the Loque team. They had a FE for about a week before launch and refused to post thermals. A day after launch, they told us in their discord that they won’t post thermals.... even though they have been posting thermals for every other thing.... honestly I have no idea what’s happening at that company anymore

I wouldn’t pay too much attention to the whole SPCaps thing... the “good” cards are failing just as much as the “bad” cards https://twitter.com/hardwareunboxed/status/1309659834468298753?s=21 https://twitter.com/gamersnexus/status/1309838511374241797?s=21 GamersNexus set a record with a “bad” card, they pushed it on air, and on LN2, they didn’t see anything out of the ordinary. Steve says that either they got lucky or didn’t play the right games when testing all the cards. It might just be something driver related or boost clock related. It might not be down to the caps. It’s just way too early to tell. But Jay is right... If this is fixed it will be via software (vbios/driver/etc) Yes I know that EVGA did say they noticed this, and changed their caps.. but like I said it’s too early to tell and without anything concrete, we’re all just throwing poo poo against a wall to see what sticks.
