Dune is the best lynch movie. If you voted for anything else you are a sado-masochistic child rapist/murderer necrophiliac and a Bad driver.

Mulholland Drive and Lost Highway were both cases of Lynch being all like "Hey guys, look at me. I'm still David Lynch, honest!" People seriously need to stop pretending they liked those two.

The answer is Blue Velvet, but there's a special place in my heart for Dune because I love unintentional comedy.

Straight Story was a great example of how much tension and drama it is possible to put in something that has no "edge" at all to it.

Don't say you haven't seen a David Lynch film at a party of ~hip millenials, because it is the new "we should kill all blacks" for this generation and I learned the hard way.

Also don't work with pesticides.

Someone mentioned a weird scene in Mulholland Drive or maybe Blue Velvet that made me want to watch it though. I've seen the first three episodes of Twin Peaks like 5 times but I just can't get into it.

Mulholland Drive is good but overrated and sort of babby's first Lynch. Everyone knows it was a failed pilot and was re-purposed as a movie and I think it shows, it has holes and weird tangents that don't quite gel 100%

Fire Walk With Me though, man, that is PEAK Lynch.

I voted for Fire Walk With Me just to be a contrarian jerk since obviously Blue Velvet is the correct answer, but then a bunch of other people picked Fire Walk With Me claiming to be serious and I just feel gross. Sometimes irony doesn't pay.

Fire Walk With Me is a fantastic movie, and is a complete standalone from the series. I've seen that movie dozens of times.
