I've gotten to Armageddon Game, where O'Brien and Bashir help an alien race destroy a ton of bioweapons just for them to try to kill them, and it's easy to forget O'Brien was a soldier fighting the spoonheads until the few times he starts disarming soldiers and Action Roll-ing while noscoping fools :dukedoge: Also I love this episode because Keiko saves both of their lives by not knowing a loving thing about her husband :hmbol:

I love Bashir and O'Brien's antagonistic relationship in the early seasons. It made for a good dynamic. I'm in Season 5 now and there isn't nearly as much interaction between them.

I'm about to finish Season 5 and I would say Sisko doesn't really come into his own until end of Season 2 or early Season 3. Up to then he seems to be more of an observer, taking in and reacting to the people and situations around him. Brooks' performance is very mannered.

However, when the Jem H'dar arrive he takes command decisively, and the best part is that it's credible and believable. He's taken the time to get to know the ins and outs of the station, has gotten to know his subordinates, and has the wisdom to go grab the best tool in the box for the job he has to do (USS Defiant, binch).

Orci used to post in the comments on Trekmovie.com articles and get in constant slapfights with people who criticized his writing and his truther bullshit. It was great, like a weekly meltdown. He once defended Into Darkness as having “better political commentary than Raiders of the Lost Ark”.

He also called George W. Bush one of his personal heroes and I can’t even imagine the mental gymnastics it would take to think like that and still believe the 9/11 truther nonsense.

I watched 3-4 episodes of Altered Carbon and was bored out of my mind. I cared about nothing and no one on the show and in fact remember almost nothing about it. The AI hotel manager was kind of interesting but that was about it.

Did anyone ever explain why the hell Red Squad was allowed to still exist after being infiltrated by the Founders?

The founders didnt do anything, Red Squad was commandeered by whatsisname to stage a military coup. The founders basically just went "BOO", then did literally nothing else as Earth completely poo poo itself and almost did a fascism.

Ok, yeah, I conflated that with the part where the changeling shows up to tell Sisko that they are successfully infiltrating Earth. "Boo", as you said.

But still, after Leyton's coup attempt, you would think Starfleet might consider disbanding the secret ultra-elite cadet group that is accountable to no one. Then again, this is a military organization that's had literally one semi-competent admiral since Kirk.

Yeah, I really don’t understand that. Like, you’d have to be really actively trying to ignore the Diverse Space Socialism that’s ingrained into most of TNG-era trek.

Even just running on diversity alone, Star Trek has been “sjw” since day loving uno.
