I couldn't find any good pictures of it, but there's an old Atari game called Quantum that was fantastic. It used a trackball, you drew circles around enemies while dodging them. It was really fast and fun.

I spent a bunch of money on the terminator 2 light gun shooter at the local roller rink when I was a kid. I dont think the game was very good from memory but there wouldnt be an imp zone to tell me this until decades later so there was really no way I could have known

i remember the star wars pod racer arcade cabinet. it was really cool and fun but a racing game with nothing but two big levers for controls is about as hard and awkward as it sounds

arcades are cool and i wish there were more out there, i have a lot of respect for the dudes and dudettes who are out there trying to preserve old arcade cabinets and pinball machines. Gauntlet Legends is rad but i have more memories of playing it on N64. I did manage to beat Skorne with three friends on the cabinet once though, twas epic

it sucks there arent that many arcades any more but its kind of cool because it means like 9/10 times the person running it is doing it more as a labor of love than anything and care more, unless its like one of those terrible modern ones with all guitar hero and game show machines. i played an awesome rambo light gun shooter though that was newer that had movie scenes in it. this osman game is way cooler than strider and OSman looks like big boss

arcade games are cool. i played a pretty cool modern one at the beach recently where you use a neat fishing reel controller to catch fish in a 2D sidescroller type environment. the feedback and action on the controller was great, but a 1 dollar play only gave you like 2 minutes of gameplay regardless of your performance, which is pure rear end.
