I am woken up every night around 4:00am by one of my cats doing this. He thinks it's just the absolute best thing ever and me requesting politely that he not so I can sleep falls on deaf ears. I have to get out of bed and rub his neck before he'll let me go back to sleep. It's why his nickname is "little dickhead". This guy:

Anyway, I have a very nearly 18 year old outdoor cat who does not hear or see very well and I am going to find her and take a picture when I get back from my adventure today. She took care of and feed two litters of kittens who were born a week or two apart many years ago because her late sister just did not feel like helping. Also there is sometimes a mountain lion out behind my house but they can have a couple hundred mile ranges. I do not want to look for this catte but if the opportunity presents itself I will.

One will shove her sopping wet nose up one of my nostrils and purr until I wake up, one will lay on my chest and crawl slowly upwards until I've got a mouth full of cat neck, and one that jumps towards me while I'm sleeping and stiffens like a fainting goat right before impact from as many different directions as it takes me to move. |

And they climb up on things, chairs and couches and stuff, and fall down, flop, thump, learning about gravity, but they are so light they don't get hurt.
