So far so good, even on his strong days Arrieta hasn't exactly been efficient, so it'd be nice if he could go the distance considering how much the bullpen had to work yesterday.

Also I know it doesn't need to be repeated, but Kershaw's MLB The Show numbers are insane. 105/5 K/BB :eyepop: Season is early yet but it's going to take something fierce to unseat him for the NL Cy Young this year.

And then Heyward immediately hits a ground ball :downs: I swear I've lost count of how many times Fowler's gotten on base and then immediately been forced out at second because Heyward hit one straight to 2B.

At least he had enough hustle to keep out of the GIDP.

Man, I don't know how guys play with the cuff of their pants below their shoes like Heyward. That would just drive me nuts.

Bryants pant cuffs are an inch higher and I think even that would bother me. I miss the days of everyone wearing the high socks/stirrups.

edit - I guess Heyward has the same length as Byrant, but it just looked longer during one of those replays.

I mention Jon Jay and the thread lights up with HBP talk. If it were anyone other than Rizzo I'd think Jon Jay has some supernatural ability when you mention his name. It's Rizzo, though, so him getting beaned just means it's a day ending in "Y".

Was this to intentionally force the other manager to use a pinch hitter for the platoon advantage? Or did they really have no confidence in someone successfully IBBing?
