Pretty hype for this update even though I haven't had a chance to play since release (been meaning to do it on stream, and I've streamed jack poo poo lately). The orange tint of the daybreak level reminds me of the first trailer, back from when this game was still called Matador (https://youtu.be/RHtRDVpNV1M)

Yeah, for the bulk of the development the game was just the freelance mode. Putting in a campaign was a great idea though

Did you ever hear the tragedy of Great Leader the Wise? I thought not. It’s not a story the SNC would tell you. It’s a Loyalist legend. Great Leader was ruler of Solo Nobre, so powerful and so wise he could use isolationist trade policy to create independence. He had such a knowledge of leadership that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying. He became so powerful… the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his subordinates everything he knew, then his chief of security killed him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from death, but not himself.

You know Buff now that I think about it I could set a minimum activation distance on the explosives. Would mean that it does less damage at complete point blank, but you're not taking self damage either so you could call that a wash.

Not unlike, a grenade launcher round, which, to avoid killing the user, won't explode until it's traveled 30 meters or so.

My understanding is that one of your big objectives is to sabotage the orbital defense guns on the ground so that the SNC can roll in and clean up from space. Not sure about the lore re: atmospheric planes, though there are anti-gravs.
