The weeping and buzzing flies you hear in most Velen towns is actually just a recording of the working conditions at CD Projekt Red.

I break down for crafting, craft Witcher gear, and sell other swords and armor that aren't as good as Witcher gear for $

i kept most of it for a while, but eventually i just sold everything that wasnt a flawless gem or dimeritium cos having 6000 items in your inventory makes it lag on the ps4. chitinous shells are useful too and green gold + copper from the blood and wine dlc is needed but you can sell everything else

What others have said but also the super secret tip is to always break down jewelry and pearl clams into basic materials at a blacksmith because that stuff is worth way way more.

i've still been playing the gently caress out of this game and it still owns.

just crafted all the enhanced feline armor.

is there a place that sells a lot of alchemy recipes? i thought maybe the quest to find the alchemist to teach me things would be a vendor that was really good (sort of like the mastercraft armorer/blacksmith), but he didn't really seem to have anything.

I'm fiending for them recipes to get my max toxicity up.

im at the "final preparations" quest and i feel like this is nearing the end of the story.

should i start on the DLC quests now, I'm sitting at level 30 atm.

also the one thing I can say that i consider a negative about this game: experience and what-not was hard to come by early on, and the levelling pace made it seem like there was a ton more to do. then all of a sudden every quest was causing me to gain 1-2 levels at a time, so I skyrocketed from level 22 to 30 in no time.

finish main quest then do the dlc. that's how it was meant to be

Main Story then HoS then B&W, consensus for maximum enjoyment

BBJoey
Oct 31, 2012

agreed, though they did do a few references in the main quest if you do the DLC first because cdpr are madmen

Bicyclops
Aug 27, 2004

I did most of main game up until just before the end, then did Hearts of Stone, then the end of the Main Quest, then B&W, and I think Main Game, HoS, B&W is probably better. The only good thing about doing the latter is you get to do it dressed as maximum Geralt Cool Dad in a huge robe.

Getting the most important main story reference in HoS means choosing a very unlikely ending path. So don't worry about that.

Just remember to give wine to Shani instead of the proper quest gift.
