Did a new patch drop today? F4SE is telling me it's out of date with my game and won't run. How long does it usually take for a newer version of F4SE to come out after a patch? EDIT: Grabbed build: 0.1.15, but it's still telling me it's out of date. Normally F4SE will tell me it's out of date with the latest version of Fallout and I'll have to play without mods that use it until F4SE updates, but I installed Contraptions last night and all my mods that use it are working a-okay.

After having the usual problem of a new patch/DLC wiping out the DLC items from my settlement menu I found this mod that adds very neat little categories for all the DLC items at the end of your settlement menu. Super useful.

Don't pick up the Vault-Tec Prototypes if you use scrapall in Vault 88. I found out the hard way that it unlocks all the experiments, but prevents you from building the prototype versions you need to process the quest.

After finishing my latest huge build I've lost the ability to assign settlers to any kind of resource or guard post. Has a new patch dropped or does anyone know of any mods that'll cause this? I can't seem to order anyone through Snap N Build or vanilla doors, either.

I tried taking the Snap N Build doors off the structure, all the walls, placing the guard post on ground level, replacing the structure with only vanilla items, then putting the post on the floor away from the structure, and everyone still tells me it's impossible to get to it. I have two shops inside that have been assigned, but the settlers refuse to stand behind them. They won't even attempt to walk to them. I only have 7 settlers at the site, so I don't think population numbers are the problem, but I'll spend a few days away from the settlement and cross my fingers. Thanks for the advice.

I tried using the Interfaces.BA2 linked and the game just CTD before even getting to the main menu. Not sure if there are other incompatibilities. I wouldn't even be using F4SE if it weren't for Bethesda disabling cheevos whenever mods are enabled. Cheers. I'll give that a go.

I managed to get Steam into offline mode before the update thanks to the thread. I tick the "only update when I launch the game" option regularly, but Steam always chooses to ignore it.

Is there any interest in people posting their builds here? I just got done with a pretty huge Nordhagen Beach fortress. It's got a fully decorated mansion, hydoropnics op, generator room, crafting and robotics area, display room and storage, security room, recording studio, and an onsite house for the family whose shack I callously paved over. Here's a few of the interiors, but I'll post a full album if it's not too self indulgent.

Sorry for the delay in posting my build, but I got a seemingly unfixable bug that prevents any settlers/robots being assigned to new roles and stops any new settlers from being spawned. I mostly play Fallout 4 for the settlement building and it's totally killed my will to play. Anyway here's a huge album of my Nordhagen Beach build. It's a pretty secure compound with a house for me, reactor room, greenhouse/grow op, crafting area, and a house and weaponshop for the family to run. I felt pretty bad about paving over their crappy little shack, so I thought I'd better accommodate them. I'm running about 200 mods at the moment, but the main ones in the build are Snap n Build, Functional Displays, Do It Yourshelf, and SSEX.

Since Nuka World dropped my game's been crashing every time I save. I can't quicksave either. I've disabled all my mods, tried dieing and reloading, changing characters, starting a new game. Nothing works. There's not too much information online. Has anyone else come across this?

After verifying the game cache and reinstalling the game I'm still crashing on save. This is my gargantuan load order. I've tried turning off all mods and still no dice. It's been crashing every time I save since I installed Nuka World.code:

I took a break from FO4 to give Skyrim SE a whirl and I've come back to a problem very few other people seem to be having. I can't change the colour of anything in the character creator or choose styles of nose/eyes/facial hair etc. I can change hairstyles and scuplt things, but my options are pretty limited. Excessive Googling turned up a few solutions like getting rid of Texture Optimisation Project, uninstalling/reinstalling and verifying the game cache, installing LooksMenu, and visiting the facial reconstruction doctor. But nothing has worked so far. I've not had a desktop for a few years and I've just managed to get one built with a nice enough GPU to run Fallout 4 again. I'm really looking forward to getting back into settlement building again. Are there any must have building mods that have come out in the the last year or so? I'm definitely looking forward to Sim Settlements now that it's looking a lot more fleshed out than when I played. Are there any huge collections of building assets that are recommended these days?

When did the Nexus make the move from NMM to this Vortex thing? I haven't booted up FO4 for a while. I thought I'd give it a spin with some hot new mods, but now I can't download them using NMM? I got Vortex up and running, but it won't import my mod list. It keeps asking me to disassociate NMM with my mods, but I've already done that. I even went so far as to uninstall NMM and it still won't import my mods. Is this what I get for never getting around to learning Mod Organiser?
