Intervivum gaster spatior

Being too efficient of a hunter, the ocean itself becomes a place incapable of sustaining so many apex predators. Some Gaster species are forced to scavenge near the ocean's surface. A few even make their way onto land. G. spatior is one of those land dwelling subspecies, though it would be more accurate to say that is is amphibious. With its powerful coiled leg muscles and supinated barbed leg hooks it can briefly stride across land. Lacking any sort of internal organs capable of extracting oxygen from the atmosphere it can never stay on land for too long and must always return to a body of water.

Growing fat and numerous of off its successful mutation, those Chitanaer with a penchant for more, stronger or prettier moving mandibles flourish.
