After 6 years we are two weeks away from the epic conclusion to this absolutely insane series. I started replaying 999 today and it's been 3 years since I've experienced these games again so I'm vague enough on the details that I am loving relearning the puzzles and saying "ohhhh poo poo yeah this part!" whenever a new detail or plot development pops up. I probably won't finish everything in time for the release but I'm not gonna start ZTD until I finish VLR again, which I've never replayed. Japanese visual novel hoippppeee

I played 999 and VLR for the first time this year and they're the only vn's I've read aside from like phoenix wright. super excited for ztd and I'm getting the pc version since it comes out around the same time.

It's 2006. I am taking 276 yeti furs from the goodies hoard.
I bought VLR like 2 years ago and it never really clicked but I decided to try it again a few weeks ago and got totally hooked and could play nothing else until I finished it. Going to play ZTD on my PlayStation Vita and I sure hope it's good .... not sure how I feel about the new art style, it looked ok in screenshots but I watched a video and the animation is really bad. They could definitely take some lessons from the guys who do the Overwatch porn

I think 999 still looks the best but I understand it's probably cheaper to not produce sprites and stuff so whatever they need to do to make their game

yeah actually they will

Thanks to my extensive Game Notes I'm breezing through 999. The character art in this game is top notch. Also lol that the guy who looks like a caricature of a New York Jew immediately betrays the group and explodes

Clover: "Reimann's Hypothesis"? That's odd, what's there to hypothesize about a reamin', it's pretty straightforward isn't it?

I played VLR before 999 so I didn't know the connections, and I haven't replayed either since 2013. I'll check back with awesome spoilered updates about how cuck cucking hth

Everything past the 9 door in 999 is insanely sick. Especially the last puzzle, building up after 90 minutes of end game puzzles and cutscenes, and then they pull that flip the perspective trick but you're just doing sudoku lmao

I think June does it but I don't remember either because VLR is dumb and bloated as hell.

The very first path I followed on my first VLR file ended in the joke path that spoils the rest of the game and I thought it was a joke and then I spent 18 hours realizing it was a developer troll. Awesome

Anyway I just finished 999 and I love he finale. Can't wait to finally revisit VLR.

yeah actually they will

one of the coolest things about 999 and VLR is how the big twist pre-door 9 in 999 is that communicating across the morphogenic field works across parallel universes, and then in VLR that's a basic regular game mechanic

In Training
Jun 28, 2008

Lol I like how it's revealed that Snake became a highly successful new age harp composer after the events of 999. I just finished my first path of many. I didn't find a single bonus file

One of my favorite paths is when Sigma and Phi are playing against each other and she changes her answer because she knows you're trying to trick her with morphogenetic manipulation

"The game follows Takeshi and an amnesiac boy who, along with others, are trapped in an underwater theme park that is estimated to implode in 119 hours due to high water pressure" this sounds cool
