I actually really liked the city--good weather, nice beaches, really friendly people (then again I'm white) and pretty easy to get around. I didn't have a chance to go to the north island but south island was pretty fun with a lot to do. in many ways, it reminded me of California with like 1/1000th of the population which I kind of liked. Only problem I couldn't get mexican food nor could I even find masa and dried black beans to make it myself, best you could do were awful El Paso brand garbage, but I guess i'm spoiled from living in California. first thing I did when I got back home was eat mexican food for a week straight. and their cheeses actually sucked and tasted really off. e: there was pretty drat good thai and indian food tho so I can't complain that much. (USER WAS PUT ON PROBATION FOR THIS POST)
