The good guys must stop her before it's too late! This is a closed setup mafia game for 16 players. There will be some interesting roles but nothing too crazy. As per usual in my games, flavor is important so you might want to think hard about what you reveal.  This game will have a special challenge! When the game starts, I will hide two golden jiggies. I've never actually played mafia before....could I play this game without being a bore? Serious question for those in charge, my love of Banjo-Kazooie is quite large. If this would be suitable for a beginner, I'll go ahead and give this game a spin(ner) (Bear in mind, I am in PopCon; if that would be a problem, this I will give up on) In all seriousness, I don't know dick about Mafia, and would need some manner of crash course in how to play...but you got me at the Banjo-Kazooie theming

You'll be fine, your first bunch of games are mostly having no idea what's going on anyway, and you will probably get a lot of suspicion on you for flailing and poo poo but we're mostly nice. This is a good player list so far too so you will hopefully have a very nice time

I've played mafia in person, and I hope the pure rage translates online for my first time. I live for the rage. From what I understand there is not much different mechanics wise, besides the ##vote thing, right? And I'm assuming night actions are communicated to the OP through PM? I can't find an answer on the wiki.

mafia is the cool place to hang out. You can find most of the cool people there. In mafia you can just chill and do whatever and totally relax. "Take it easy" is the mafia motto, for example, that's how laid back it is there. Show up if you want to have a good time. Another good reason to show up is if you want to hang out with friends.
