I had a hard time believing that and then I looked at the Hawks roster and yep, everyone worth protecting already has a NMC except Panarin who will be their 8th protected skater. I hope Vegas doesn't take Kruger because that would be a gift to the Hawks cap management.

How terrible would a Quebec City team be in terms of on-ice product? I imagine they would be even more stupid about wanting on Francophones on-ice and on the bench, which would seem to severely limit their competitive ability.
