Tragically that wasn't limited to just Sweden, and originated from the Neatherlands quote:The third wave of Smurf mania occurred in the second half of the 1990s, and again it had a Dutch link. This time it was Dutch production team Cat Music who were asked by EMI Music in the Netherlands to produce a Smurf album with "smurfed up" versions of current hits. The first single was a new version of the 2 Unlimited hit No Limit, which went to Number One in the Netherlands in early 1995. Local branches of EMI in Europe requested their own Smurf albums (see below), all produced by Cat Music and mostly sung by local (uncredited) artists. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Smurfs_music

I will readily admit to owning no fewer than five Smurfhits CDs myself. In school many many years ago me and a friend lip-synced to a song for a thing, with our faces covered in blue makeup. The nineties were a wild time.

Not a bootleg in any way, but the cartoons I used to watch when I was younger (OK I was 20 gently caress you), often had Dutch intros. Here's Wayside: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTPmV4QKJpw This show deserved a longer run. Also I just noticed Maurecia has different hair and skin colors in the intro, maybe they changed her to avoid her being a female version of Todd.

Chipmunk definition of punk is pretty loose. I remember hearing tapes of chipmunk albums as a kid and thinking, why the gently caress does this exist?

For some reason I have this deep association with chipmunks and this really bad nutrigrain knockoffs we would get...like just thinking about Alvin or hearing the name Alvin and I can taste these gross bars. (would crush said bars as soon as I got home from school and cartoons would be on).

Found part of my "Holy Grail" of knockoffs. A Dollarama had 6 number combiners in. Is it a bootleg if the only versions you can find are knockoff quality?
