Oh Wateyad, no. You didn't need to go this far in your cry for help. You could just ask.

chaos rhames posted:Why swords in space. Can't risk shooting inside pressure vessels, duh. Not sure who they were expecting to fight though. Humanity is meant to be united, they don't know about any aliens. Do they have a serious space bandito problem?

Could you make it like the old 24 "The following takes place" bit, tia. Your best Kiefer Sutherland impression.

MooCowlian posted:What really bothers me is that in all that disaster, the disruption, an early warp exit and a crash, they landed mostly okay on their exact target planet. Not only that, but within what a pretty small area. They've started the game with the stakes unbelievably low. Ok, my brain somehow skipped over the part where this was the target planet for all five ships. I had assumed the ships were all going to different places (Because why would you send five ships to the same place? These people weren't behaving like this was a potential suicide mission, they expected to transit without problem. Send one, bigger ship if you're not expecting a significant fraction of them to blow up), and the magic space rock had brought them all to some different place as part of its sinister plan.

Ok, so he's fighting the bugs with his chainsword (?) hull cutter, and he has magical protagonist powers in his glowy fists. The bugs don't have proper Dune slow shields or they'd have stopped those sword swings and any future arrows, so maybe they just only turn on when they detect high magnetic fields? Can't just be technology, the sword was obviously powered when the guy was using it on the hull. Not sure big bugs would evolve that. Then again, it seems they really did decide to send five ships crewed by children to the same place, so it might just be that everyone in this universe is functionally retarded and they can't tell the difference between bugs and robots.

Robots. Von Neumann bots that look like bugs, because bugs are efficient.

It's ok if they know how to use low-def art. Too many just start blowing it up and slapping a smoothing filter over it, or tiling small and overly busy assets to cover large areas.

The spelfs are probably either evil, idiots who are themselves running on hand-me-down technology, or scared that humanity will do the "Just loving kill everyone" thing if they're given too much advanced tech. Which raises the question of why they would give away any tech at all. Maybe they want some meatshields for their galactic conquest? Maybe they really are those pervert aliens who spent a few decades abducting rednecks to probe them for sexual kicks.

Makes more sense. They're living like scrubs, no obvious significant agriculture, dangerous wildlife ranging around outside their town walls. Hunter-gatherers with a poor diet balance. Short.

If she's 15 then their malnutrition problem is significant enough to delay puberty. They should petition the spelfs for some chewable multivitamins.

The rampant malnutrition has left them unable to enthuse. When you took the berries from that chest you were stealing their only reserve of vitamin C.
