I have a capt Toshiba Satellite laptop that is outdated, buggy and absolutely refuses to burn a DVD. I can't bear to part with it because it was my dad's and he died a couple years ago when, for stupid reasons, we weren't talking.

I'd probably get another laptop if I didn't use my tablet for most things, but keeping his wallpaper and goofy conspiracy theory text files feels like a link to him.

That's my justification.

I also have a ps4, but I actually enjoy it and get plenty of use out of it.

I can barely afford rent, this 20 year old chair still works perfectly! Why would I replace it?

Because it smells like 20 years of butt?

it was ok for a while but i threw it out for making bad noises. on the other hand my fridge makes a lot of weird noises at night and i keep it around, go figure. hah, well life's weird

Hearing my fridge make weird noises makes me incredibly paranoid that it's breaking down. Every time I hear something I spend days feeling my ice cubes to make sure they're not wet.
