Activision is at the mercy of the vocal minority of the fan base that feverishly demand "BOOTS ON THE GROUND" combat and hate sci-fi shooters. Did you notice in the most recent gameplay footage the player character never left the ground (well except when they were piloting the spaceship)? Gotta give them at least a couple projectile weapons to placate them.

Those leaks are pretty old at this point, CoD XP confirmed most of them (weapon variants, 'specialists', etc). I'm fine with weapon variants this time around because you can craft the guns that you want with the salvage currency that is earned via playtime. This system is much better than the AW system of pure RNG supply drops. Any reference to Extinction is probably a placeholder in the code, the third mode this year is zombies. I think I remember reading somewhere that zombies will be in every CoD title going forward given how much more popular it is compared to the other alternatives.

ADS speed with quickdraw seems faster than Blops 3. I still have no idea why Treyarch nerfed ADS speeds on so many guns during that games life cycle.

The perils of solo queue (note the 1-20 pubbie ). It may be placebo, but those Astro settings Fuzzy posted have made footsteps more distinct. I've been able to get the drop on people more often now due to soundwhoring. Also, I got the epic KBAR from a drop

KBAR acts as a sub/AR hybrid with its higher RPM, makes it work out a little better with a rushing playstyle. However, the NV4 is stupidly easy to use due to its low recoil and long 4 shot kill range. Hope it sees a nerf in the first balance patch. Hipfire nerf maybe?

NV4 Flatline gets outgunned by other NV4s up close due to its slower fire rate. Ideal use of the Flatline is with a suppressor and trying to engage in fights at range.

Had some pretty good games last night. Here's video of me going flawless double AP-3X https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6P93b5Oerow (I guess Fuzzy forgot or is too cool to set his voice chat to public) I also didn't figure out until later that the AP-3X can boost which makes it the best streak in the game (which being the final streak in the game it should be). Warden - AUV - AP-3X will probably be my pubstomp streak setup à la Wraith - HATR - RAPS. Also, choked a 100 kill KC match. RIP.

Someone datamined the game and got some info. That new NV4 variant sounds absurdly powerful, it excels in every scenario. Also, is man-at-arms really all that necessary for an 8% movement speed increase? Infusion is a tough trait to give up. Speaking of salvage, where are you supposed to earn it once you level up all 4 mission teams? I've already finished 2 of them and it's not even December yet. Yes, I realize I've poopsocked this game but still. They need to refresh their stock with new guns or add a prestige system to the mission teams or something.

widespread posted:The only SMG that seems to be worth using is the MacTav. It's 3HK range is pretty good for an SMG, apparently. Also the RPR Evo in AR mode, but the fire rate might get you killed. The MacTav is a 4-5HK gun if I'm not mistaken.

I'm off work today so come and join me play this game. My opinion on this topic can be summed up as Jetpacking > BOTG. It's a more fun, faster paced game and the future setting gives the devs more creative freedom. If the Vietnam War era rumors are true for CoD 2017, I'll be bummed out. I still stand by my opinion that AW is a good game. Now that the supply drop system has been ironed out, I'd love to see a refined AW2. Also, instead of people complaining about a return to BOTG, why not complain about the fragmented playerbase due to map packs? That is the biggest issue with CoD right now.

Invective and Mammoth are the best epic variants you can craft. The Ripper probably isn't worth the 4,000 salvage but the increased smg RPM is nice and reduced idle sway is helpful in AR mode. Edit: beaten

Curious what IW does about the key exploit. Resetting everyone's salvage and keys to what they were prior to the day 2 reward seems reasonable to me. It's also hilarious how fast they patch the game when microtransactions are directly involved.
