Have you ever walk out on a movie?

If so, which movie? Why did you walk out? What made you feel the price of the ticket was not worth sticking it out to the end?

This is a judgement free zone, so please share your stories.

For me, technically no. I say technically because I was taken to see Beauty and the Beast when I was 3 1/2 and early on there was a scene with wolves that terrified me so much I ran out of the theater. Luckily and mercifully, the place gave my mom a refund. I did not see the film again until freshman year of high school in human growth and development class.

I came very close to walking out of another film called Another Earth. However, that theater sold beer, so I left half way through and got more PBR and soldiered on. Bad film!

Tell me your stories!

i went to see the conjuring the opening weekend and the guy next to me was hepped up on amphetamines or someting. i specify opening weekend because otherwise i wouldve just switched seats. every time there was a mildly spooky thing he'd shriek like EUHHH EUHHH like a little baby. it was so off-putting and it was going to ruin the movie anyway so i went home

he sneezes on the mona lisa, then buys a poster of it and rubs eggs all over to make it look like an oil painting and switches it out so no one is the wiser. then he keeps the original in his "flat".

The only movie I've walked out of is Zodiac. It was a really nice day out, and the movie was two hours in and looked to be wrapping up, and then they introduced a bunch of new characters and it was clear the movie was nowhere near done so I just said gently caress it and left. I never like super long movies.

When I lived in DC I didnt have a car, and there's no Casinos in walking distance, so my disposable income had to go somewhere. I saw almost every movie released in the mid 00s, even that Dane Cook/Jessica Simpson one, and a bunch of Jon Heder ones when they was trying to make him a star; and I managed to never walk out of a single one. Some real masochism was involved in those decisions in retrospect.

No, I didn't know that Zack Snyder was a genius until the last 5 minutes of Sucker Punch told me that only dumb would criticize this movie and that nobody would "get" it.

she had tiny Italian boobs.
Well that's my story.
Don't think I ever could, seeing as I paid for the ticket and concessions and I'm not the type to seek a refund because the movie sucked. At that point I figure I'm in for it and if I end up at a lovely movie, oh well.

I regret when that mentality keeps me in my seat for movies like Year One though.

I have in-laws whose taste I'll never trust since they walked out of District 9 In the first 15 minutes claiming they went to see a scifi action movie, not a documentary.

I don't know if this counts, but I walked out of "There Will Be Blood" because a about ten minutes in, the Alvin and the Chipmunks movie suddenly started playing. Someone came into the theater and said that they would start "There Will Be Blood" again in a few minutes, but I decided "gently caress that" and left.
