I love the extremely pro-company asides in that one "Everyone knows that the road does what it can to protect workers"....do they?

At the time? Yeah they did. The unions were really, really powerful and there was pretty much a requirement to find SOMETHING for a guy to do if he was injured on the job. Plenty of "watchman" jobs that were pretty much busywork for a guy with a limp. There was significant financial interest in making sure you were paying guys who weren't maimed, especially because radios had already made half the crew redundant (but Federal regs and the union agreements said you had to keep them)

That's the era my grandpa was a railroad man. They were definitely SAFETY SAFETY SAFETY types.

That reminds me of the guys on reddit and the various MST3K message boards who are REALLY UPSET about the constant racism against white people from MST3K and Rifftrax.

The only time those jokes ever annoyed me was Catalina Caper, and it wasn't the jokes themselves but the fact they made them about 600 times in one episode so it was a case of "OK, we get it already, jeez!"

You go back 60 years before that and you could tell how long a guy had been working based on how many fingers he didn't have. Always been dangerous work unfortunately.

They did figure out that finger one though.

There's no one I'd rather be than me.

Watching Outlaw of Gor.

First off, I forgot all about Toobuler Boobler, so that caught me off guard. Also, for what's suppose to.be a fantasy film, it's got a sick 80s Sax solo at the 50 minuet mark.

Amd maybe im getting older but there is a part of me that appreciates the costume design for it.

It just occurred to me that at the beginning of Werewolf, Richard Lynch says that a yataglanchi/skinwalker is like a werewolf - "But not in our traditional...White Man's Movie Monster sense." After getting hit with the skull, Paul exclusively does White Man's Movie Monster werewolf poo poo for the rest of the movie - transforming against his will, attacking people at random; running through the streets, doing things...

Well you see werewolves stick to their culture so Native American werewolf is going to do Native American things but you turn a white guy into one and you're just going to get white guy werewolf. He was wrong to assume a white werewolf would act like a Native American werewolf.
