How on earth can anyone hate Starfighters?

It's basically a fool's errand to rank every episode but drat it if people aren't going to try it anyway.

The biggest sin of the Sci-Fi era is that despite almost all of the episodes being instant classics, the execs would very very rarely let them venture outside of the Sci-Fi or Fantasy realms. That really sucked because my favorite episodes were always the insane 50's era melodramas.

I totally agree. It's like I like all the episodes nobody else is into, while everyone loses their poo poo over Space Mutiny for the billionth time

The Joel years were just as sarcastic and the riffs they made called more attention to the actual production of a film instead of whining about how bad it sucked (though they did do their share of whining). Despite this, I do like the Mike seasons. The best episodes with Mike still had Trace as Crow, imo.

Later Sci-fi episodes had that distasteful edgelordish quality that I need to be in the mood to handle.

I can't figure out why he was complaining about the construction in the dangerous snow. Just because last night's snowfall was one that allowed for avalanches doesn't mean that every snowfall is. A better movie would have set that up where he as an avalanchologist was trying to warn about dangerous avalanche conditions and insisting that the resort be closed until they could clear the danger ("There's an unprecedented snowpack on that mountain and it could fall on us at any minute!") but Rock Hudson won't listen ("Shut down on Fourth of July weekend? Are you mad? Besides, we have little avalanches all the time and no one gets hurt."). Instead it seems to be implying that pretty much any ski resort is a deathtrap just waiting to happen (oh my god! There's snow and a slope! It's just a matter of time...).

The problem IIRC was when they cleared the trees to make room for the event, the trees would have provided something for the snow to anchor to

One thing I miss in the reboot is the camera work of the older episodes. Like they're singing the Wild Rebels cereal song, the camera zooms out when Magic Voice asks them what they're doing, then snap zooms back in after they say "Having a nutritious breakfast, mom!"

Cambot really felt like a camera with AI. Maybe this will improve in later seasons.
