Not a garauntee of course but so far at least there's a chance of the upcoming games being decent (I do wish they'd show some more footage from Sonic '17 though).

Everything I've seen of mania has been incredibly promising. They just need to avoid Marble Garden/Carnival Night syndrome and they're good.

The fact the game doesn't really explain the controls that well is also a mark against it (I only just recently figured out how to Light Dash with the Hover Wisp for example). The only reason I personally rate it as "ok" is that the 3DS version is much, much worse. In fact, it's the only Sonic game aside from Sonic Labyrinth that I refuse to replay.

Lost World is awful but had it been in development like 2 more years, ditched the wii u pad crap, simplified the control scheme and just polished up the controls/movement it could have been something great. Controversial sonic 'pinion incoming here guys but I think its final boss is worse than Generations' because of how completely lazy and phoned in it is...

I still enjoyed Lost World more than any of the other 3D Sonic games. It feels pretty good moving around once you understand the controls. I still wouldn't call it a good game though due to not enough decent levels to make it worth the time to learn those controls.

They're on Android too. If you want them on PC, try an emulator like Memu - you can buy them off the app store through there, although I found the controls somewhat fiddly to set up. Sonic 1 and 2 on 3DS was done by M2 (Probably the best dev for remastering old games) and are great versions in their own right.
