Yeah, someone was just hand waving away Romeros lovely behavior by pointing out that his other wives were adults. As if that somehow makes the fact that he was grooming a 15 year old Romanian girl in the background while married to one of those ladies totally not an issue.

This started 2 years ago. Stormtrooper helms and light sabers were added in during a May the 4th livestream. It wasn't marketed as ...obviously as it is now, so I guess they have really good lawyers on standby. http://sotawiki.net/sota/Blue_Electric_Sword http://sotawiki.net/sota/Red_Electric_Sword http://sotawiki.net/sota/White_Sky_Navy_Helmet The Totally-Not-Darth-Vader armor set was slated as the top end reward for the livestream, but didn't get unlocked. https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/?p=89581 Lum_ fucked around with this message at 03:23 on May 5, 2020 |

So is this game fairly dead at this point? I had played it years ago, and the idea of player cities seemed cool. I tried playing it again recently and all I found where abandoned cities full of vendors that have overpriced items from years ago. Also in these same empty cities the game really bogs down, its almost impossible to get around.

The game is pretty much Sea World at this point, lamely waiting for the last of their whales to die off.

I remember playing Might and Magic 2 on my Genesis and being honestly surprised there was sci-fi space poo poo towards the end. I thought it was really cool and original at the time.

Gobbeldygook posted:that practice predates most CRPGs. The 1980 D&D adventure Expedition to the Barrier Peaks involved the players venturing into a crashed space ship, shooting laser guns and fighting robots. The fussy 'don't mix my peas with my potatoes' separation between sci-fi and fantasy only really picked up during the Eighties. There's a lot of Sixties and Seventies material with heavy cross-pollination.
