and half those ppl were dead within a year or so, what a loving loss - and iirc correctly one of those ppl, the guitarist James Honeyman-Scott, was cited as Johnny Marr's primary influence

also Led Zeppelin is by and large garbage, the day i admitted and came to terms with that was a good day...listen to the Yardbirds instead

they sure did like their heroin. didn't they kick out honeyman-scott and then he overdosed and died like a week later? i want to say that by the time learning to crawl came out chrissie was the only original member left.

zep is for 15 year olds that just bought a lovely t4p turntable and want to listen to "vinyls" on it.

Hi. Thanks for providing this opportunity for us to share. This, in my humble opinion, is a fine song that will lift troubled hearts:

Now it may not be what some consider the best song, but it is damned fine by most standards.

Yeah, that one came out when I was in college. What is great fun is the fact that I have lots of classic rock and other old stuff on my lab playlist for my students. One day after yet another classic piece came on (I think it was something from Styx) one of my students roller her eyes and, exasperated, said "Mr. Genesplicer, do you have any music that was recorded in this century???

I replied "Yes, but you probably wouldn't like it any more than this, because it's all pretty weird."

Really mess with them. Play GWAR's cover of 'She Bop'.

Anyway, great music should stand the test of time. Here's one that is always popular:

I've actually never used the phrase "last century" when referring to music - while totally applicable it just sounds weird i guess?
