I'm quite certain that Ciampa is going to turn on Gargano very soon. Gargano beat him in the CWC after Gargano showed compassion for his buddy, Gargano lost the match for them at Takeover, and NXT has a spot opening for a new rampaging violent heel now that Joe is likely getting the call up.

I think that the tag name that Ciampa chose is even subtle foreshadowing so that he can say, "Do it yourself, not ourselves" because relying on another person didn't work out for him.

If NXT was truly dedicated to pro wrestling, the angle will be started at Johnny's wedding (real or fake).

I would agree, but why have the shirts made if they're gonna break up?

(I'm a sucker for friendship in wrestling i'm looking for any excuse for them to stay together)

Re: Tag Teams

The September 2, 2015 Edition of NXT which was taped at the Full Sail University on August 13, 2015 was the start of the Dusty Classic last year so I expect that to start at the next Full Sail TV taping.

I kind of want Gargano & Ciampa to break up, have a short feud leading to a barn burner match like their CWC bout, then reunite by "surprise" and take The Revival out.

Johnny has dropped his wife face first on turnbuckles like a dozen times over the past two years so I kind of doubt it'd phase her much

I've been watching NXT whenever I can after taking a long break from wrestling. It's been really fun to watch Roode's transition from a charismaless black hole of suck to half of the joint-best tag-team in the world (although I'd say KoW slightly edged it at the time) to a legit main-eventer. Some people have that moment where it all clicks and they completely change. Roode on the other hand has been steadily improving for years and it's nice to see all that potential finally pay off. He's either never going to the main roster and will remain NXT's big bad or he's not staying in NXT for long.

TM61 feel like they're the tag team equivalent of Apollo Crews; indie darlings everyone's excited to see at first, but they just never get any time or focus so they die. Then again, Gargano and Ciampa were outright jobbers for most of the past year, so maybe TM61 will get their time in the sun next year sometime.

Meltzer said with pretty much 100% confidence that it's a work, yeah, but I hope he's not off TV with a worked injury for too long

still really hate them using a thrown X and a sudden camera cut for a worked injury, but I definitely prefer it to Joe actually being injured

Worked injuries are really weird nowadays. I mean at least in the past it meant you got a cast to knock dudes out with during an interview leading up to the match or whatever.

mmm when I look at the rosters, I feel like the needs of the rosters aren't really met by what NXT has. Both shows could use more women, but I don't think there's anyone ready unless they just decide to elevate random house show/undercard people like they did Braun.

There's plenty of NXT undercard mainstays they could bring up as jobbers, but they don't have a need for more jobbers. Maybe they send Rich Swann up quick to fill up the Cruiserweight division?
