Shockingly it turns out fringe groups can be astoundingly stupid.

http://www.workers.org/2016/05/11/s...a/#.V7fUH61ceUk

quote:

There seems to be an unwritten law among the colonizers and imperialists that the peoples they have attacked the most must be insulted the most.

U.S. history is replete with examples. None is more repugnant than the universally offensive treatment heaped on the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea by the U.S. political establishment and media.

Since occupying the south of Korea in 1945, the imperialists have tried to defeat the Korean people’s efforts to build socialism and overcome the poverty and devastation they inherited from decades of Japanese colonial rule. From 1950 to 1953, the Pentagon launched one of the most unequal wars in history against the DPRK. But the Korean Revolution succeeded anyway in the northern part of the peninsula. Showing incredible morale and bravery, the newly liberated Korean people in the DPRK under the leadership of the legendary Kim Il Sung and the Workers’ Party fought the invaders to a standstill and then rebuilt their country.

So the imperialists, while still occupying the south and holding annual “war games” that threaten the DPRK with both conventional and nuclear weapons, have intensified their insults against the leaders of north Korea.

Workers World totally rejects this war propaganda offensive. It stands in solidarity with the DPRK, its people and leaders, in defense of their sovereignty and social system.

A momentous event has just taken place in Pyongyang, capital of the DPRK. Starting on May 6, the Workers’ Party of Korea held its 7th Congress to chart the next phase of its development. The Secretariat of the National Committee of Workers World Party sent the following solidarity message to the First Secretary of the WPK:

“Dear Comrade Kim Jong Un,

“Workers World Party sends comradely greetings to the Workers’ Party of Korea on the occasion of your party’s 7th Congress.

“Many years have passed since the great revolutionary struggles that liberated the northern half of Korea from the colonial oppressors and their puppets, and all that time the Workers’ Party of Korea has remained true to its commitments.

“Despite the strident hostility of the imperialist ruling classes, your Party has organized the people of the DPRK into a strong, educated, sincere force for building socialism that refuses to be intimidated. It has dealt firmly with those who would return all of Korea to the days of vassalage to international finance capital. It has guided the building up of the advanced scientific foundations of the economy and defense, and thus neutralized the constant war threats of the imperialists.

“We are sure you have much to celebrate in this remarkable Congress of your Party. The Korean revolutionaries have shown the world that a determined and politically conscious people can take on any challenges and succeed when imbued with the spirit of unity, courage and independence.”

Since this was written, the news from Pyongyang is that Kim Jong Un has been elected chair of the Workers’ Party of Korea and is stressing the policy of “byungjin,” which means the simultaneous buildup of both economic and military strength, including nuclear weapons. As the U.S. has threatened the DPRK with nuclear attack ever since the 1950 war, the development of such weapons by the Koreans can only be seen as a necessary defensive measure. Ever since 1953, the Koreans have asked for negotiations to end that war with a peace treaty, and the U.S. has refused.

All progressives must continue to demand that Washington abandon its futile attempts to overthrow the DPRK
and sign a peace treaty NOW

In an article Cupp wrote while serving as head of the U.S. Songun Study Group , he said “Imagine a racial communist super-State comprising all of Europe and Russia and stretching across the reclaimed Siberian Land Bridge Project into White North America and includes Australia, New Zealand, Chile and Argentina in its project. Bloodline shall supersede geographical boundaries [this will be] the total victory of White Power over the conspiracy for our genocide, more than just racialism, but true socialism, and the rebirth of the neighborhood and family again.”

“Long live the White race!,” the article concluded, “Long live the communist revolution! Let us vow to die in the trenches of combat before ever even considering the thought of surrendering our European-American Nation!”

In December 2009, Cupp penned a piece in which he wrote “White Power, when correctly defined, ultimately wants both separation from and death to America. Indeed, ‘White Power, Death to America!’ … the best models existing today, and worthy of careful study, admiration, and solidarity by our people are those of North Korea and the Iraqi Branch of the Arab Socialist Ba’ath Party.”..

I’m reminded of Arthur Koestler’s time in the KPD.

“...We talked about politics. I had qualms about the Party line-why, with Hitler ante portas, could we not come to an understanding with the Socialists? Why did we persist in calling them "Social Fascists," which drove them mad and made any collaboration with them impossible? Edgar explained, with great patience, that the Party desired nothing more than to establish a United Proletarian Front with the Social Democratic masses, but unity had to start at the base, not at the top. The Social Democrat leaders were traitors and would betray whatever agreement the Party might conclude with them. The only way
realize the United Front was to unmask the Socialist leaders and to win over the rank and file.
He argued brilliantly and after five minutes I was convinced that only a complete fool could favor collaboration between the two branches of the Workers' Movement against the Nazis...

One minor incident has acquired particular vividness in my memory. For weeks the Communist Party Press had sneered at the "Social Fascist" ( Laborite ) Prussian Government's unwillingness to take any drastic action against the Brownshirts, who were more or less openly preparing for a putsch. One day I learned, off the record, from Reiner, the diplomatic correspondent of the Vossische Zeitung, that the Prussian police were to carry out a surprise raid at SA headquarters the next morning at 6 A.M., seize their arms and archives, and impose a ban on the wearing of the Nazi uniform. I hurriedly passed on the news to Paula and Edgar. The action was carried out according to plan; but while Berlin feverishly discussed the chances of immediate civil war between Nazis and Socialists, our Communist Rote Fahne came out with its usual streamer headline sneer about the Social Democrat Government's tolerance of the Nazis, thus making a complete fool of itself. I asked Edgar why my warning had been disregarded; he explained that the Party's attitude to the Social Democrats was a set, long-term policy which could not be reversed by a small incident. "But every word on the front page is contradicted by the facts," I objected. Edgar gave me a tolerant smile. "You still have the mechanistic outlook," he said, and then proceeded to give me a dialectical interpretation of the facts.

The action of the police was merely a feint to cover up their complicity; even if some Socialist leaders were subjectively anti-Fascist in their outlook, objectively the Socialist Party was a tool of Nazism; in fact the Socialists were the main enemy, for they had split the working class. Already convinced, I objected-to save my face-that after all it was the CP which had split away from the Socialists in 1919. "That's the mechanistic outlook again," said Edgar. "Formally we were in the minority, but it was we who embodied the revolutionary mission of the Proletariat; by refusing to follow our lead, the Socialist leaders split the working class and became lackeys of the reaction.

Lets laugh at some Tankies.

quote:

Down with age of consent laws!

Government out of the bedroom!

Hands off Roman Polanski!

No extradition!

Roman Polanski committed no crime. Facing a Hollywood show trial with multiple felony charges hanging over him, he pleaded guilty to “unlawful sexual intercourse” with a minor. Threatened with more prison time, having already served six weeks in state prison for “diagnostic testing”, Polanski, a French citizen, fled to Paris in 1978 to escape the puritan witch hunt. Despite the standing threat of extradition, Polanski has persevered in the face of the American judicial fatwa and managed to pursue his film career in Europe with artistic success, until now.

We oppose this outrageous witch hunt, as we have from the outset. In the US, the morality police are howling for Polanski’s blood. In France, after officials in the French government objected to Polanski’s arrest, they were met by howls of indignation from other politicians demanding that Polanski face “justice” in the US. Meanwhile, Polanski has long avoided travelling to Britain for fear the British state would arrest him and hand him over to the American authorities...

At the time of Polanski’s original persecution we were virtually alone on the left in defending him. This remains the case today, as most of the left maintains a studious silence over his renewed persecution. We also recently defended Helen Goddard, a young teacher who was jailed for 15 months for having a consensual sexual relationship with a 15-year-old female pupil (see Workers Hammer no 208, Autumn 2009). When Weekly Worker (3 September 2009) published a letter defending Goddard by the Partisan Defence Committee, the class-struggle legal and social defence organisation associated with the Spartacist League, this drew a flurry of outrage from its readership. These guardians of “morality” were enraged by the PDC’s simple assertion that Helen Goddard committed no crime and that this relationship should be no business of either the school or the state.

An article by Eddie Ford published in Weekly Worker (10 September 2009) professes to agree with our call for abolishing reactionary “age of consent” laws, rightly saying that these “give the state powers to interfere in, and potentially criminalise, what should be purely personal and private matters”. But Ford’s conclusion belies this, saying “communists propose that there be alternative legislation to cover sexual misconduct and abuse, based on both effective consent and the empowerment of youth”. As we noted in a 14 November letter to Weekly Worker, “In other words, there are some bedrooms in which the government does belong, if it deems that ‘sexual misconduct’ has taken place. This exposes the CPGB’s touching faith in the benign nature of the capitalist state, which you entrust to establish the principle of ‘effective consent’ and to regulate the sexual activity of youth and children.”

In his 26 November response, Eddie Ford reiterates the call for “alternative legislation” and adds that the Communist Party of Great Britain’s call for the abolition of “age of consent” laws forms “part of a whole raft of demands that we fight for in the here and now”, ie under capitalism. The idea that the capitalist state will ever introduce legislation based on “effective consent and the empowerment of youth” is downright laughable. The capitalist state — including its cops, courts and prisons — is not a neutral arbiter and cannot be pressured into acting in the interests of youth or the oppressed. It is the instrument for the suppression of the exploited by the exploiters. As such it plays a key role in enforcing the oppression of women (and youth) alongside organised religion and the patriarchal family, which remains the central instrument for the subjugation of women under capitalism. The family is critical for the ruling class to pass on its property to “legitimate” heirs and to instil obedience to bourgeois codes of morality....

The government has recently seized on the spurious crusade against “sex trafficking” to introduce draconian new legislation criminalising men who “pay for sexual services of a prostitute subjected to force”, a move which marks a significant shift towards outlawing prostitution altogether by penalising customers. We Marxists oppose not only reactionary “age of consent” and “statutory surprise sex” laws, but also other laws against “crimes without victims”, such as gambling, prostitution, drug abuse and pornography. Our defence of Polanski, like our longstanding defence of NAMBLA (North American Man/ Boy Love Association, which advocates the decriminalisation of consensual sex between men and boys), is based on our Marxist programme for women’s liberation through socialist revolution. Government out of the bedroom! Hands off Roman Polanski! Drop the charges!

Ok, maybe sobbing is a better response then laughing.

Not a tankie but definitely an Authoritarian Moonbat

http://eng.the-liberty.com/2014/5260/

quote:

“The Secret Behind the surprise sex of Nanking: A Spiritual Confession by Iris Chang”
The spiritual message of Iris Chang, the author of "The surprise sex of Nanking" tearfully apologizes "My book is apocryphal. Put it out of print."

Did the Nanking massacre really occur? Why was the book published? Master Ryuho Okawa of the Happy Science Group conjured forth the spirit of Iris Chang, the Chinese- American author of the book to determine the truth....

The spirit of Iris Chang appeared with an anguished look, crying, “I was killed!” After the publication of “The surprise sex of Nanking,” Ms. Chang was said to have fallen into depression and committed suicide by a self-inflicted gunshot wound. However she said that she was killed by those who wanted to silence her.

So then, why was she murdered? For what purpose was the book written? The truth that came to light was shocking.

She claimed that she”was promised fame and fortune”, and confessed, “I was young and ambitious, and was gripped by a sense of justice and a duty to inform the world about this incident.”

However, the misrepresentations in the book were revealed to be false very quickly by many historical researchers who wanted to protect Japan’s honor....

As she continued her research on WWII, and as these contradictions came to light, Chang came to hold doubts about the Nanking massacre, and began to think that all of the damage from China’s civil war was being foisted on Japan out of convenience....
After her death, Chang’s spirit traveled to the spiritual realm of Nanking for research, but stated that, “I hardly saw anybody who was killed in Nanking by a Japanese soldier.” Furthermore, reflecting on the mass purges committed in communist nations such as China and Russia after the war, she tearfully stated that, “I am not so confident anymore that Japan was really so evil.”

After revealing the truth, the spirit of Chang apologized saying, “People of Japan, I am sorry. My book is fraudulent. Please remove it from print.”

If the lies of the Nanking massacre are regarded as truth, then Japan will be seen as a nation that carried out crimes against humanity on par with the Nazis, and Chinese hegemony, which unapologetically cracks down on human rights like they did in Tiananmen Square, and colonizes surrounding countries as “autonomous regions”, will appear to be justified. This must never happen....

Currently Ms. Chang is wandering between the Ashura hell of suffering and destruction, and the indefinite hell where those who misled people ideologically reside. Her motivation for writing her book may have been well intentioned, but the crime of spreading false ideology is just that heavy.

In order to not allow Chang’s cry of conscience go to waste, Japan should muster the courage to reflect back on its own historical perspective, withdrawing the Kono Discourse, and advocate Japan’s legitimacy to the world.
Furthermore, Japan should amend Article 9 of the Constitution, and collaborate with friendly nations to prevent China from committing further wrongs.

A Khmer Rouge cheerleader and genocide denialist goes to visit Pol Pot, gets murdered.

Honestly feel bad for the guy since nobody deserves to be murdered by a horrific regime but there is a certain irony in someone who dismisses genocide victims as “arch-Quislings who well knew what their fate would be were they to linger in Kampuchea" ending up killed in that same genocide.

So, uh, I made the mistake on reading on the Romanov’s execution.

Only Nicholas was killed by the first shot, the rest all ran around the locked room and had be to stabbed or shot. One of the girls just huddled in a corner with her little dog crying before being killed. Their bodies were then all piled in a cart to be taken to a mine shaft. While on the way one of the ‘dead’ children sat up screaming and had to be stabbed again before they were all thrown down the mine shaft.

The execution is normally portrayed as a clean and quick thing so it was pretty shocking to get the details.
