What's the new rule?

It's really vague language

code:
Controversial or sensitive subjects and events, including subjects related to war,
political conflicts, natural disasters and tragedies, even if graphic imagery
is not shown
But it seems to extend to videos that are basically calling out people. You can still make such videos but the youtube robots will turn monetization off for them.

Personally I don't like it because of their hypocrisy; instead of taking down videos that break the rules of the policy, google takes away the user's monetization on the video and then monetizes it themselves. It's messed up.

I think the biggest problem right now is how incredibly vague the new guidelines are. When you're talking about potentially taking away someone's livelihood, you don't get to be like "I'll know it when I see it". You need to show people exactly where the line is.

The only Metroid-y Castlevanias I'd call great are Symphony, Circle of the Moon and Aria of Sorrow. The others were decent to bad. I don't have a ton of faith in Bloodstained because IGA has way more bad and mediocre CVs to his name than good ones.

How about YOU make an argument for why Portrait of Ruin and Harmony of Dissonance don't suck.

Shindragon posted:

Though if Iga was the one responsible for HOD then can't blame him.

Harmony of Dissonance was IGA going "Circle of the Moon is BULLSHIT, let me show you how it's done" and then he made a bad game.

It is less that and more that I don't understand how people can like one of them and hate a ton of other similar ones. But that is not something unique to you.

Each game has different art assets, music, level design and even mechanics. I judge games on their specific elements and not their overall vibe. None of the CVs were so bad that I flat out hated them but I'd still call some of them pretty darn bad.

ImpAtom posted:

This is entirely your fanfiction and has no actual basis in anything anyone has ever said about HoD.

I was being hyperbolic, but IGA specifically got the reins back to make CV games on the GBA because he thought he could do a better job than the US team and mentioned in several interviews he didn't consider their games canon.

There is an entire era of GBA games that look horrible due to compensating for lack of backlighting, it's a shame.
