Best bird card submitted: PMush Perfect By posting a card that was for last week's contest, you have truly demonstrated the spirit of procrastination. 3rd: Mikl  This is a neat variant on this effect. It's weaker than the usual version, which is good for color pie reasons, but also a little more flexible. A couple of formatting notes: Counters aren't capitalized and the modern templating for O-Ring effects has changed to prevent shenanigans with bouncing. 2nd: Lack of Bear  I dig alternate win/loss-cons and graveyard recursion, even though I suspect it might be horribly broken. Flavorwise (and powerwise) this might work better with less than five counters - five turns isn't much of a deadline in Magic time. 1st: Only 17 characters  Dimir Abyss is really cool. I would build a million janky decks around this, taking advantage of ETB effects on your own creatures while messing up your opponent's board. Congrats! (I was trying to post this exactly on time as a joke, but waited too long. I'm not sure if that's ironic or not.)

   Oh wait I just read the op and looked to find that the mentor card already exists. I'm keeping it because I like my flavor more, and the fact that he doesn't benefit from his ability. They kind of work like enchantments that your opponent can try to kill with combat. It can be a current character or anything else. You have until 9 PM PST Sunday the 14th.

Shenafu's Card Creator https://www.shenafu.com/magic/cc.php It is not a very good site but it works if you format you text box input as: "ability 1 -x: ability 2" I don't care if you just have a zero next to your first ability or even just put the card in a normal frame.

     The templating here is pretty ugly, but the font goes to like .5 if you try to put more than a few lines on each ability space. (I also just realized that Aminatou's second ability is a little hard to read, it says "Look at the top card and bottom card of your library, then put up to one of those cards on top of your library and the rest into your graveyard".)

Third Place: This is a cool way to make a 1 cost planeswalker stay relevant. In the right deck it could hang around all game. It does feel a little awkward seeing it die with a trigger on the stack that would save it. Second Place: This feels kind of like a Fires of Yavimaya mixed with a Kessig Wolf Run. Being able to drop Gruul dude and give it +7/+1, haste and trample seems a little over the top for 4 at uncommon. First Place: I loved drafting Torment of Scarabs, and this would let me relive that but also kill things. Turning a board wipe into a Torment of Hailfire sounds like a lot of fun. Congrats AJ Impy!

I haven't been around in ages but for me this contest is like my hole in Amigara Fault. Totem Armor as a drawback!   Totem Armor as a delayed benefit thing!  Affinity for spells!       Affinity for creature types! This... isn't even that far removed from Affinity's intent and is a great way to make the Class creature types a little more relevant in a simple way, but for some reason when I presented this brilliant idea to Mark Rosewater he just said "Get out of my house or I'm calling the police"
