Spreadsheet updated. That takes me to a distant second behind Lottery of Babylon overall. Stronger Together Teamwork! Cards that work better together with another specific card, enhancing their abilities, removing a drawback, or just sort of smooshing together. So, come up with a small team that enhance each other in interesting ways, not more than three cards to a team. Deadline 23:59 UTC Saturday 25th November. Yep. Aquarion (the anime) was clearly inspired by Getter regarding mechanics.

Whenever a card’s text directly contradicts these rules, the card takes precedence. The card overrides only the rule that applies to that specific situation. The only exception is that a player can concede the game at any time (see rule 104.3a). Clearly this is an exception that proves the rule--by saying, "Equip only if crewed," it's apparent that you can equip Vector Luna, Mars, or Sol while they are crewed.

It's an old and tragic tale. In some countries, the common people rise up against their oppressors. After lots of bloodshed and lots of negotiations, finally everyone can sit around a common table and agree on terms to stop fighting. Unfortunately, some members of the establishment are firmly opposed to given even the tiniest concession, and are willing to sacrifice their own people for their political ideals. And the cycle begins anew.

I'l be nice and judge it as intended. Honourable Mentions: BIGBFM, by Pmush Perfect Sacred Flame and Friends by Eeevil Freebird Trio by Lone Goat Third: A recipe for card disadvantage, but just the thing for Naya Bogles style decks. Sticking all three on Uril the Miststalker in EDH would be fun. Second Late and inaccurate, but novel and intriguing, I love the idea of modifying a given spell. Closest we had so far were the Burst cycle and their counts as friends from Odyssey.. And the Winner is: That's a lovely, evocative pair right there. My mind is abuzz with UR commander deck ideas with either of them, chaining cheap wizards in the one case and setting up card advantage with the other. Congratulations, Nebalebadingdong! Spreadsheet updated.

Alright then. Magic Realism! This time we're going with flavour first. https://twitter.com/MagicRealismBot/status/934682904210186240 Magic Realism Bot is a Twitter bot that mashes together words, and creates story summaries that are of the "Magic realism" type. Sometimes what comes out can be good, or at least interesting. https://twitter.com/MagicRealismBot/status/931542111601639424 Sometimes... Not quite. https://twitter.com/MagicRealismBot/status/932085710047154177 And sometimes things are downright weird. https://twitter.com/MagicRealismBot/status/933293707478024192 Your challenge this time is: taking a tweet from Magic Realism Bot as an inspiration for flavour, make a Magic card. Or two, or three. Not too many though. Entries will be judged on how interesting they are, how well they fit the chosen tweet, and on mechanics. Please post the tweet you chose for inspiration along with your entry, and have it ready no later than 6 AM CET on Saturday, December 2nd.

To clarify, is that a max of two or three cards per tweet, or one card per tweet, max of two or three total entries?

An undertaker owns a tiny machine made of sapphires which allows her to make an infinite quantity of love letters. It seemed kinda eerie to me that an undertaker would have a device for producing love letters. It implies that the letters are from the dead to their living loved ones. I thought about having some sort of graveyard interaction like exiling a creature, but felt that would limit the infinite quantity of the letters. I also thought about adding a blue cost somewhere for the sapphire construction of the device but felt it was too far from blue's role. Also the nested quotes are awkward. Any formatting advice for that?
