Considering how much it leans on silly animations, music ambiance and immediate emotional reactions, I'd say SSLP would be a pretty bad choice for the game.

Sometimes a less active SSLP thread will have several updates on a single page. This is fine, as long as it doesn't become too excessive. It is also fine to ask readers to leave a bunch of replies with the purpose of pushing to the next page.

Have you considered clarifying your post? All I'm getting after reading it 5 times is that you want to see what Steam games are 15 cents and you don't want to put your face on screen. You don't even give an example of the sections you say you've written up. But if they're as disjointed and incomprehensible as your post, maybe give them an editing pass? Slap what you've got into the test poster and give us something to work with.

If you are interested in hearing about how the only way to get a refund is to send a form letter to germany via snail mail, please watch it. If you use Sony Vegas Pro to make your let's plays (like I have from 2011 until now), please do not give MAGIX any more money. Also this video has my face in it. I got Vegas Pro 14 from Humble Bundle for €20 or thereabouts. Its GPU acceleration code is so ancient and bad that a driver update broke its ability to realize my GTX 1070 exists, easily quadrupling processing time when rendering a relatively simple video with some "effects" that claim to be GPU accelerated. Apparently the solution to this is to either Extreme Humble Bundle sales are the only way you should buy Vegas. And even then, it's probably not worth it. Because you will need to immediately go into your control panel and uninstall the Magix Communicator program that automatically gets installed alongside it, which is literal adware that pops up GIANT banners on your computer. And no, there's no checkbox to untick and prevent it from installing. Also, every time you boot Vegas it'll display an ad for the latest version and the checkbox for disabling them is non-functional. The actual setting for it is somewhere hidden in the preferences window. E: I'm a dumdum and got my versions mixed up. I got 14 instead of 15. Point still stands though. So, what you're saying is that I should hold on to my version 14 for dear life because they hadn't had enough time to gently caress things up too badly yet. I should probably just fill out the dumb form and get the free version of Resolve.

Years ago I used Sony Vegas 9 which had an interesting quirk where it'd completely gently caress up footage ripped from youtube by whatever youtube video download plugin I had installed back then in a really interesting way that I'd actually love to be able to manually recreate. With 14 I've had the weirdest issue that DebugMode Frameserver would work just peachy when I finally got it installed, then a week later it would 100% of the time crash immediately once it got done writing the audio to the file and started serving frames. Reinstalling the frameserver over itself fixed it for one (1) single encode job. Then DebugMode suddenly released an update earlier this month and it's been working fine since I installed that. But I have no idea how long it'll last. E: To clarify: It wasn't just the frameserver that crashed, but the entirety of Vegas and it popped up the completely useless crash reporter. If you looked through the data it was going to send with the crash report it basically boiled down to system specs and Vegas version with no real details on what was going on at the time of the crash, or even a list of loaded files or plugins. Keep in mind that if you want your LP archived, the archives have a hard limit of 900 pixels wide for images. Readability is doable for me, from a "can I read this" perspective, on a 1440p display with the browser taking 50% of the horizontal screen size. But it's definitely in the annoying to read ballpark.

I've subbed the first episode and could use some feedback on readability etc. (I didn't sub the UNN trainer because he has a billion lines that I can't just copy and paste like I can with logs. I had to do that for the intro cinematic and it sucked ) I'd say legibility is pretty good. You weren't kidding about voices getting drowned out by literally everything, but I could keep track of all the stuff you subtitled just fine. Most of the stuff you didn't subtitle was nearly impossible to make out, though. But that's more on the game than you.

nine-gear crow posted:Though like them I also have some reservations about people potentially abusing the Patreon unlock tier function to create early access or bonus updates for their donors at the expense of the regular posters in the thread. While this was what Patreon was kind of structurally built for, when it comes to LPs we all consider it bad form, especially, as Fedule said, that the rules of the sub clearly state that LPs should be made for the LP subforum first and foremost. Although as conduct like that qualifies as off-site stuff, we can't really do much about it except strongly discourage it, so my modly advice would on that would be just use your common sense on it. So what's the rule on people creating LPs for their patreon supporters first and then later releasing them publicly on here? For instance, ThornBrain's group has been doing that for a while now. They've always been transparent about it and stated it in their OPs. While I like their content, it always seemed a little hosed up to me when there's a rule stating "create your LP for the thread, not the other way around."

I'm not calling for action being taken. I just wanted to know what the thoughts on it are. I personally think it's a pretty garbage thing to do, having a thread where people respond to your LP that's already entirely after the fact, with no chance of their points being addressed in the commentary of the upcoming episodes. I might as well load up a YouTube Playlist.

Check a look here: https://www.sixfeatsunder.com/campaign/lpdnd The first link in the blurb seems to lead to a dropbox of at least all the audio-only versions. And below that are re-edited versions for podcast consumption, but the rate of posting those episodes is extremely low, so don't hold your breath waiting for all of those to be done.

Rocket Baby Dolls posted:Is there an easy way to add censor bars to a video? I've spent far too long trying to get an extremely lovely adventure game to run knowing full well that this would be an issue and now I've finally found a way to get the game to run. I've watched several videos on how to apply censor bars in Vegas and they've been a convoluted, useless mess. The easiest way I've found for stuff like that is using ms paint to create a black rectangle, insert that in whatever program you're using and then use image transform tools to move it around and keyframes for when you need it to change locations. If you want actual motion tracking, that's a bit more complex. Pungry posted:This month is the 15 year anniversary of the LP Archive.
