Covok posted:A lot of Star Wars fans have been pushing for a Netflix Old Republic series. Pretty unrealistic to think online petitions work (though, in this case, it is just telling Disney there is demand for a product so it might have some pull), but it makes me wonder what a show like that would even be about? It's so before the prequels that it would have carte blanc to do what it wishes. In Legends, a Sith Empire kicked the Republic's rear end and almost conquered the galaxy. Not saying I want that to happen, but it's so long ago that crazy, galaxy shattering events like that can happen and no one would know during the time of the prequels, let alone the OT or sequels. a netflix series based off the republic commando books would be pretty rad

The lack of direct alien participation in the Rebel Alliance during ANH & ESB, minus Chewbacca, proves that the Rebels were also Nazis. Prove me wrong. Protip: you can't

Blacks being a separate species is part of the now-dead EU WhiskeyWhiskers posted:Also rebel cells being racist/speciesist liberals who are more interested in pushing through reform in the Imperial senate until that plan falls apart would be a good story. Funny how we only see human chancellors in the prequels Zebulon posted:That and if you go by the current canon that Rebels and apparently Rogue One is presenting, the first time all the assorted Rebellion cells come together is Return of the Jedi. So you're just seeing isolated groups that likely came out of the same general area, or specific planets, before then. Got it, Mon Mothma's group are the KKK of the bunch

Galaga Galaxian posted:Sheev's aide/buddy/whatever from the PT, Pas Ameeda (might be getting this name totally wrong, the blue guy) is the Imperial Grand Vizier in the new canon. He was also the Imperial GV or some similar highly ranked position in the old canon. Come to think of it, there were a ton of highly ranked/influential aliens in the old canon Empire, just not many in military. I still can't get over how hilarious it is some writer felt the need to establish blacks as a separate species from a singular planet in the old canon. Did they try to do this with the Asians as well?
