KomodoWagon posted:Ehh they still show reruns of it like crazy where I'm at That sucks. Even Fox stopped airing re-runs here. Though for some reason Comedy Central in the UK literally air Friends from start to finish and I can't seem to work out why. I mean, if you wanted to watch that poo poo unfunny show, you've had like a decade or more to check it out.

Cnut the Great posted:Anyway the problem with manbearpig isn't that it was making fun of global warming. The problem is that the "50% one thing, 50% another thing, 50% another thing" joke was lazy and played out even at the time and Matt and Trey should be and are better than that. I don't get it, why is the 3 halves thing played out? Not being American, is it 2000 Election or Inconvenient Truth related?

Which is pretty awesome because as we get older I think we all relate to Randy more and more and let's face it, he's loving hilarious.

Magnitogorsk. posted:No way, season 5 was the peak of South Park. That was back when they still came up with original ideas and put a little effort into each episode, before Trey realized he could just take a few days to poo poo out a one-joke parody of whatever was just in the news every week while using the same voice for every character. It's telling that 95% of the references in Stick of Truth were from the first 8 or so seasons gently caress man, that edge is sharp!

Roylicious posted:You can't blame them when it is such low hanging fruit though. No, you don't get it, it's ok for LITERALLY EVERY OTHER loving TV SHOW TO MOCK THE 2016 ELECTION, but for some reason the creators of an animated sitcom are being held to a higher standard than EVERY loving NEWS NETWORK IN AMERICA. That's why South Park sucks.
