I originally thought I would be off this weekend. Instead I worked yesterday and am currently finishing my second hour of an 18 hour shift. Itís not hard work, itís really just sitting in an office unless poo poo hits the fan (or, in one case, the fan hits poo poo) but itís so soul-crushingly boring. Iím probably going to be losing it by like three in the afternoon today. At least when the day crew leaves I have the trailer to myself and can dick around on my switch and listen to weird podcasts.

Mom fell and sliced her eyeball open when she woke up. Great.

It looks like a relatively minor gash but it's directly across the middle and it's from her bracing for the fall and her head hitting her hand and her fingernail stabbing into her eyeball. Can't take her to the hospital because she has to isolate so I'm just hoping it heals on its own. I had my cornea almost entirely sliced off for surgery one time and it grew back within like a week, so I'm hoping she'll recover similarly

That sounds 100 percent like something that needs to go to the hospital. A lot of them have setups for contact isolation in the ERs still. Eye injuries are one of those things that can go from minor treatment to requiring major surgery or permanent disability if you donít get them taken care of ASAP.
