Pet robots. Not because they're terrible, but because they're still not good enough. Necoro, the robot cat, came out in the early 2000s. It was very expensive at the time. I had high hopes that future robo pets would be even better!  Now in 2016, these toy pets have gotten cheaper and more common, but they're not any better. Like FurReal Friends, Biscuit the Dog. It's still not a pet, and it still doesn't walk. I won't be satisfied with robot pets until they're intelligent enough to express pain and joy so well that their existence becomes a controversy over man's hubris and the rights of sentient robots.
