I actually like the depiction of Snapper , it makes sense that he gets the nick name from snapping at people. It's a good change. It's good. This show is super Silver Agey. edit: Uh the Fortress of Solitude ! That was awesome! KELEX! Hollismason fucked around with this message at 01:31 on Oct 18, 2016 |

That would be sweet

Okay, the bad: - Cat loving off back to her home planet felt incredibly forced - Even as CEO of CatCo James feels superfluous at the moment. The good? - Every loving thing else, that was a lot of fun.

Kara burning the skin off Metallo's hand was pretty awesome. Big promotion for Jimmy. From photographer to CEO. howe_sam posted:The good? Why is it such a big deal that she moves to metropolis when it's a minutes fly away? Also, fun episode.

Still cautiously optimistic about this show because so far between these two episodes it's been really good. Not to much relationship bullshit that strangles all CW shows.

Kara melting the skin off Metallo's hand was pretty badass I really enjoy this take on Superman, every scene where he and J'onn interacted was pretty cool. CW has mostly knocked it out of the park with the series so far, I'm looking forward to the rest of the season.

"I'm gonna punch you in the face now " I'm really regretting writing this show off in the first season after the pilot. Gonna have to go back and watch it on DVD to get caught up because it's fun as poo poo right now.

Their VFX team pretty cleared wanted to prove that the channel move wasn't going to hurt the show's visuals, and mission accomplished.

Hey do you guys remember when I didn't like Winn? Boy was I dumb I think I enjoyed this episode even more than the premiere (probably 'cuz there was no absurd relationship stuff). This definitely is a cartoony show, but it's really heartfelt and engaging about it, and is able to support all that schmoopy stuff by showing actual intelligence regarding its own characters. Those Metallo boob windows got really silly, though. Just take off the shirts! They're ruined anyway! They seemed to have significantly toned down the effect of green kryptonite in this show. At least, supergirl doesn't collapse or become violently ill just by being in its presence, the way it was on smallville.

Such a good episode and Supergirl remains the best of the CW superhero shows. I like Fun Superman and hope he gets a few more appearances this season, but I'm glad it only took two episodes to get him to leave and leave the focus on Kara. If this tone and quality can be kept up after Superman's out of the picture then I think the show got a decent bit better after the move.

They did a good job featuring Superman enough to establish him as part of this world and then shipping him back to Metropolis because this is Supergirl. I still think part of the reason they cast such a physically underwhelming Superman was to really make sure he didn't overshadow Supergirl. They played up how Winn and others were in awe of him but otherwise he was really presented like Kara's equal.

James wasn't just some random photographer. He was a department head who would sit in on Cat's important meetings and stuff. Yeah, its tv logic that he was the first choice to replace her because he's the character we know, but its realistically no different than if a random character was introduced as the head of some other department and got the gig. Its convenient but who the hell cares about the hiring and promotion habits of a fake corporation in a TV show?

They had at least one dinky radio station and a women's magazine? And I guess there's a TV station even though we never see any of the staff or talent or anything? Uhhh... maybe a website? Cat seemed to be an editor who decided what stories made air... print... uh... online?
