So it's Supergirl tonight, Flash/Arrow on tomorrow/Wednesday (premiered last week) and Legends Thursday, right?

I get that with a lot of people I see on TV since they aim the camera for normal-height people. One of my dad's co-workers was interviewed for a documentary once and my first thought was "why is she so tall, is my memory wrong?"

And then there's the Conan counterexample, where they use the same camera trickery to make him NOT look like a beanpole giant.

Yeah. Now that the storyline made it official: In the comics, Miss Martian is a White Martian by race and pretends to be a Green Martian so people don't flip their poo poo. She's actually pretty nice and sunny but, y'know, race known for war crimes and all.

In the Young Justice cartoon they made it a bit of a transgender-analogue. Did the comics do the same or was she just green to hide rather than "this is who I feel I really am"?

I did get a serious gay vibe from the scene with Mon-El in the flashback.

I saw it as the partyboy prince and his relatively-more-responsible and loyal guard/friend, the kid finally decides to man up and lead his people. If it weren't too similar to season one, I wouldn't put it past the kid to rally the survivors and lead an attack against the two remaining Kryptonians in retaliation.

I feel like Winn had a bit of a downgrade this season, going from best friend, confidant and tech guy (and early last season love-sick puppy) to basically ONLY the tech guy. He exists to show up, quip a bit and solve the episode problem with technobabble. I prefer that to the moping over Kara poo poo early last season but the character feels diminished a lot this season.

Eh, it can be interesting if you accept it for what it is. One of my friends is a fic-writer as a hobby, she likes to do it to play with shifting people around and putting different personalities in different shows. "If I replaced a character in this serious drama plot with Captain Jack Sparrow I think it would actually work in an interesting way not just a punchline" that sort of thing. Yeah it's dumb, but that's the fun part.
