Does CR get an older copy of the episodes or something? How does that happen in a simulcast? I hope this was a catch-up episode because the animation was real rough in a lot of spots and it seemed like most of the ice skating animation was just reused stuff

I had a bunch of thoughts on the episode: Yuri is the equivalent of Johnny Weir. Yurio is terrified of what happens when puberty catches up to him. IIRC, a lot of figure skaters have a few bad years when this happens and they have to relearn their bodies. Maccachin is going to die when they're away  (I'm guessing Maccachin's about 12, which is the average.)VIctor is an international treasure. the production issues in this ep kinda brought me down, but i absolutely love everything going on in russia and the triplets remain adorable. it's also heartening to see yuri and viktor opening up, even if the latter is still being sabotaged by yuri idolizing him.

I enjoyed this episode a lot but I feel like the animation was definitely a bit rough. I don't know if that's because of the vers Crunchyroll gets, though. Also that Yuzuru-esque tissue box cover is the cutest goddamn thing. Yuuri's evolution has been neat to watch. In the first episode, he called himself a dime a dozen skater in JSF, and in this one, he referred to himself as one of the top skaters. So gj Yuuri, gaining some confidence. It sure looks like Victor has decided his new way of surprising the audience is to make it look like he's sleeping with his student. Not that any of us are complaining. That episode was so good. Just... good. I mean, the skating could've been smoother, but this is TV show, so this is still pretty good. drat, this is good. I like how he has fanboys. Which should be obvious since he was chosen for last year's Grand Prix, so he's considered possibly the best skater in Japan, but after living inside his head for 4 episodes it's was so easy to believe what he tells himself when he's depressed.
