I enjoyed watching fp1 and fp2, so many spins and offs while the drivers were figuring out the track. Makes me feel better about how badly I drive in PCars free practice rounds I wish more series would broadcast and commentate thier practices

I love that they broadcast all the sessions on youtube (provided you can VPN out into a country that it's not geoblocked in, using India right now). Watching these guys figure out the track, and finding the limits, with decent commentary, gives you a great picture of how the whole race develops.

Yeah I was all against our when I first started watching but the reality is, it's hardly ever used and even more rarely makes a huge difference. The window for using fan boost is so narrow (second car, before 50%) and the energy constraints that the drivers are running to means that they rarely hit the button, and even if they do, the car has to be set up for it before the race, so if you gently caress your quali car, chances are you're driving your fanboost car at the start of the race where it can't be used. It's still dumb but it's not actively harmful to the racing imo
