Man, I'm excited to see what team you end up using for the sixth stratum boss. That final boss fight was fun to watch. It seems like EOV rewards defense better than the last few games have, especially EO2U. Sasha seemed pretty invaluable in that last fight.

Raven (death bringing), Madga, Cecil (binds), Kaelin (six ways) Also we are in space! Space! Spaaaaaaaace! Finally! This is great! And the 6th stratum is a whole lot of cheap and nasty, like always. Also I thought Raven's default speciality was death bringing.

I really like how the music for this place manages to both be eerie but have a funky beat to it as it gets along.

I'm also a fan of how it's actually pretty drat long, too, instead of the same like, minute or two the 3rd stratum's music was. You can only stand to listen to the Funeral March so many times before it's annoying. Hell, I'm even digging the FM version of the music, even moreso than the normal one tbh. Also, I think I know why the way to the next floor not being stairs is A Thing, and if I'm right, ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It's because you can only Floor Jump to stairs, right? So to progress through the stratum after you've gone back to town or something, you need to deal with this poo poo every loving time (barring shortcuts). Oh yeah, votes. Raven, Magda, Kaelin, Gram.

You can still floor jump at the start but this stratum actually introduces so many TWISTS AND TURNS that make your head spin when you play it It's definitely my favorite sixth stratum. Although I've only attempted 3s until vampire trees made me give up

This stratum is not disappointing me in the slightest so far. Oh, Ragnar is gonna hate it once I reach here and start complaining to him over Steam again about how my horribly optimized party can't survive five steps into this place. I'm gonna throw in my votes for Gram (Falcon), Cecil (Combo Boxer), Jana (Four Heavens), and Magda.

Cecil (Combo), Sasha (Gunpowder), Magda, Gram (Dog) The party I used on Dryad, minus Heaven Love Shaman

If the point of the story at this point is your characters escorting this person across space to another planet, wouldn't the reason for it being a teleporter instead of stairs be because each one is covering a lot more ground than you could walk via stairs in your average lifetime?

Well, Genetta being excessively carefree with the Labyrinth's monsters all this time makes sense now, what's with being an endgame-level Hound and all.

Man, Death-Warding Reaper seems way more badass than I expected, especially if there's someone else laying down debuffs, too. Scythe of Transience is pretty great. How's Death-Bringing in the endgame?

Rotating the ailments Death-Bringing has in order to get a bunch of Black Blade stacks equals big damage with Great Scythe of Cold Ash or even Fresh Blood Slash. I mean, yeah, you'll have to keep re-casting Miasma Weapon, but it's no worse than keeping debuffs up for Transience.

I have a feeling that I am going to be pretty disappointed with Genetta's official localisation. She is always a joy to read but this time her writing was especially amazing. And her synergy with Nameless is great - almost like a honorary 18th guild member.

Hello, everyone. Remember how I mentioned at the end of the Jaryuu update I'd be giving info on my next project sometime soon?![]() Well, here it is: Update 0 of Etrian Odyssey Untold. Hivac will be joining me for this, and the LP will feature both a standard narrative LP of Classic, along with a condensed LP of Story, ala what Dr. Fetus did for EO2U. So. Much like I did with this LP at the end of EO2U, I will be opening character submissions for the EOU LP early. ![]() ![]() If you want an idea of how much of EO5 is left before we're done, we have three more postgame bosses, including Oliphant, plus 27F through 30F, followed by the superboss. Not a lot left, honestly!

Might as well have this out of my system Julien Ferreira Smith, but everyone calls him Smithy Male Gunner 1 (you know, the young one) with neon pink hair ![]() The middle son born in a family of hunters, bored of hunting the same wildlife near his village he heard tales of a famous Gunner who conquered a giant tree and beyond in the north region of Lagaard and decided to go there. Preparing his clothes for the harsh climate of that region he went on a journey to Lagaard just to listen more about that Gunner and her companions. After so many weeks he finally set foot on Lagaard the climate was extremely hot and suffocating no thanks to his coat, the sun was so drat bright and the worst part is that there was no giant tree on sight or any town built on it's surface "wait what? Etria? "Are you kidding me? I took the wrong turn at Ontario? Huh, this is another continent? Lagaard was actually half day away from my village? drat, I really wanted to eat at FOEbucks?" And so, the disoriented Gunner begins his journey in Etria. Just don't trust his sense of direction specially with a map on hand.

Pretty sure "martial artists talk with punching" was a thing before G Gundam made it the centerpiece of several episodes.

Glazius posted:Pretty sure "martial artists talk with punching" was a thing before G Gundam made it the centerpiece of several episodes. Well of course it was, but much as it pains me to argue my point with Glazius, the best poster in LP, G Gundam is clearly the best implementation of martial artists communicating with their fists and therefore should be the gold standard by which all references are made, please and thank you.
