i read BACK and He is a Goody Boy

Back is great and i loved it a whole whole lot but a lil slow to start

he is a good boy is old school kc depression stream of consciousness with a little bit of ultra violence and an inscrutable story tacked on. didnt like it as much.

This is what webcomics WERE in the beginning. Everyone wanted to tell their Sonic Story

I feel like there's something there about using common symbols to tell one's own story, be it Sonic or Mario or the Simpsons or Harry Potter, that us just part of the human experience.

The main thing was not everyone had a scanner back then to upload their hand drawn comics, but everyone could go online and rip sprites from popular shared experience media (sonic mario mega man etc.) and edit them into their own personal author characters or OCs. It was truly a golden age of ideas. And furry awakenings.

I read all the way thru hitmen when I found out we were roughly halfway thru it already. Solid 7 out of 10 comic. Sad to see my fav char die right near the end, especially with the fake out that follows right after. poo poo was like Avdol all over again.

How long until you just admit you're the creator of the sonic comic and you wanted to see what we'd think about it.

Kc green comics rule. Can't believe he's still goin strong from what feels like 15 years

Ppl who've never read his stuff post his characters a million times a day and don't even know it, he's crazy good at creating art with staying power

So during the genesis of web comics, specifically sprite comics, there was a site called Fireball20xl.

It was like a collaborative website with one central comic creator who made about three different sonic fan comics and several other contributors who also made sonic adjacent original character comics.

I'd be pretty surprised if anyone here had ever been to that site since I get the feeling most people in these threads either post recent stuff or only ever read webcomics that get posted here and never sought them out on their own.

Most of the comics were probably poo poo that only young kids would like which is why I am not too keen on trying to dredge them up. Part of me wonders if they exist in any form on the internet anymore. Part of me is scared to even type their names, like what happened to your friends after you moved away 20 years ago.

This post brought to you by decades of Fandom induced ptsd. Every time I see hangin out get posted my skin crawls and I want to see more but I'm scared of what's going on behind the scenes. Gotta just be blowing things out of proportion from what is by all accounts an innocent comic but I'm damaged.

Ancient Egypt was an advanced society cuz they understood the need to create webcomics but they didn't have the internet so they just used the walls. Wall Comics.

Not a huge fan of the 'I'm an insufferable nerd and a poor college student' Amy but that's probably just cuz it reminds me of myself at that age. HAAaaaaa..... metal is cool tho, hope we also get to see knuckles eventually. His spikes go through boulders y'know.

also i was gonna make fun of sonic comic for all the gratuitous butt shot panels but then the latest comic straight up had sonic's fully rendered naked rear end so i guess there's no point now.

guess it's ok to post inline naked sonic rear end ya'll let it rip

I would do a gag where a big dumb muscle person holding a sword like it's a stick of jerky flummoxes a high falutin noble type who just spent the last panel moaning about how they are holding the sword the way a peasant holds a butterknife or something.

When I played tf2 in college with my friends we'd refer to enemy players that got annoyingly lucky with critical hits as 'critlers'. That's what I think of when I see the comic. (It's bad).

The mega byte comic works only if you've already sat through 50 pages of comics where that character does nothing but repeat the same lines while remaining completely motionless. Expectations subverted. Comedy Goldmind. 5.

CrocodileKingSaysNO

The first 'mega byte' joke I remember was from like 30 years ago on an episode of Muppet babies where animal bites a floppy disc or something.

Interesting choice. I thought only like 5 of those comics even existed, such was the glacial pace they appeared seemingly from the aether. The art is cool even by today's standards and I'm excited to see them all.

tails gets trolled gets insanely insanely unpostable like even behind nms tags. which is a shame because there are some really good stand alone panels and action sequences.
