I must admit I don't like MM&A. I think it is for the same reason I can't get into things like Peep Show. Just everyone is such a poo poo I have difficulty even laughing about it.

I quite like QC it seems like one of those webcomics that knows what it is (slice of life/soap opera) and just seems to be chugging along doing it's own thing. I don't get why we've slipped back into the loving early 2000's and seem to believe that people doing there own thing becomes worth mocking again.

The weird thing is that iirc it takes place in a setting with robots and secret agents and poo poo and still focuses on aimless 20somethings until that.

I mean... hasn't anyone else wanted to watch a setting from the point of view of just some random person going about their life?

Also I can recommend Lancer as an RPG because it owns and all of the current art is done by the K6BD person!

They have a comic that says "fatphobia pushes the idea that fatness itself is unhealthy" and that's all I need to judge these comics.

I do think that people get very angry and very defensive about weight because it is the last thing a lot of people see as a socially acceptable avenue to bully people about. Also, unless I can constantly judge others based on what they are doing or not doing then what does that make me?

The last several months of qc has been about robot loving. There's one comic where an underaged intern has to get permission from her dad to help out giving a robot butt implants, because said robot had a vagina made for itself. Another robot has a bread fetish.

It's so, so very bad.

See it just feels like more slightly out there sit com stuff. It's not high art and it isn't always great, but it doesn't ever feel malicious

If you don't like it that's fine, but I think it always comes across as "How dare this artist succeed when he doesn't create art I like".

Sometimes you want to experience heart rending tragedy and witness the death of hope, most of the time you'd just like to feel that tomorrow might be better than today.

Why would the gods not be utterly lovely? Sometimes you get good weather and your trade voyages go fine, sometimes a storm hits and everyone drowns. Sometimes you get a good harvest, sometimes the crops fail and everyone starves. Sometimes you think you're waging a righteous war that pleases the gods and a plague hits out of nowhere and half your army shits themselves to death. Plus every city has their own patron god/s, and you've been at war with those guys and by extension their gods for years.

Obviously the guys in charge of all this poo poo are at best capricious psychos

Because the idea is that these fuckers can create the world. The fact that they are portrayed as, at best, idiot drunks doesn't jive with a lot of how the ancient Greeks apparently saw them. They believed that good people suffered, sure, but they believed that the gods punished those that did not uphold things properly.
